  6. Does anyone know which mouth washes are gluten-free? I called Listerine and they will not verify any Listerine's to be gluten-free because of cross contamination.
  7. No, the vinegar is in the ricotta cheese:) Sorry to confuse you. I could use the cottage cheese recipe, dairy is fine. Thanks!!
  8. I am looking for a lasagne recipe. Before gluten-free days I used miceli ricotta cheese and it states vinegar as a ingredient and I am leary to use it now. Does anyone know how to make lasagne without ricotta cheese? Thanks in advance:)

  12. Jenvan, Your last comment was interesting as yes he does still have symptoms off and on and the docs were concerned with his lack of growth for a 12 year old boy. Only grew 1inch and 5 pounds. We are waiting on results of the 72 hour fecal fat lab work. Could he still have visible damage going on even if the numbers were normal. The only number he had elevated...
  13. My son was 11 when diagnosed and he had a slight positive also. His IGA was 5.4 when normal was anything under 5.0 They did the biopsy and found mild blunting of villi. They think my son was just starting Celiac Disease and we caught it early. I thought our experience might help you. Good luck!
  14. Hi, My son was retested with the celiac blood panel (A year after diagnosis and starting diet) and this time the number that was elavated for the diagnosis was with in normal limits. I suppose this means that he still has celiac disease but the diet is working and keeping the disease in check. Am I correct?
  15. Lots of pickles and olives are labeled gluten-free at Walmart!
  16. Yes, I have called the companies about chapstick and Vaseline lotion and I know his soap and shampoo are gluten-free. There is always the possibility that he got gluten somewhere though. He even realized his fish food had wheat gluten in it and brought it to my attention so I feed the fish or he washed hands good afterwards. Rachel, I am sorry you are...
  17. We went during last spring break and ate breakfast and lunch in the room or picnic with gluten-free food I brought in a cooler. For dinner, we went to the Wendy's in downtown Gatlinburg and my son had the baked potato uncut and wrapped in foil. I brought pure butter for him to put on top and he got a Frosty and was very happy:)
  18. My 12 year old son was diagnosed in March of last year and I thought had been doing well on gluten-free diet. His symptoms had gone away over the summer and early fall. About 6 weeks ago around Thanksgiving he started having tummy pain, D off and on, and at his year checkup with the GI yesterday they were concerned about his lack of weight and height gain...
  19. Doesn't anyone know something about this? It seems harder than going gluten free because I have not found any message board about fructose free.
  20. I just substitute rice flour for regular flour when making paper machie. I use rice flour and then add water to get it really thin and dip newspaper strips into the mixture and put on balloon. It hards nicely in a day or two.
  21. My DD is six and is not Celiac at this point (they did endoscopy and biopsy and blood work was done last May). Now we are doing the Gluten-free diet for my celiac son and this fructose thing for my daughter. AUGGHHHH...
