    That's funny that this appeared today. My 12 year old son missed school yesterday and was not feeling well Monday with tummy ache, headache, and dizzy.     I ordered the pizza for my son. He didn't like it very much but I did. We also ordered the cinnamon buns and my son loved them. Very good warmed up and they freeze well. I am now waiting on an order of more cinnamon buns and their Christmas cut out sugar cookies. The pizza was expensive to ship due to the need for dry ice and overnight shipping. The cinnamon...

    I appreciated hearing from each of you. I understand that with Celiac stomach pain can occur almost anywhere. I love hearing from others since I can't really feel how she is feeling. It helps to hear from others who experience this. Thanks!

    I wanted to keep her on gluten so she can be proplerly diagnosed. With family history(her brother) I didn't know they were going to go slow about this. Dr. also wanted to have her take mylanta but I didn't give her any because I thougth that would just cover the symptoms. I am confused now.

    Hi Tia, You can find some notes to send to school if you go to the Celiac Sprue Association website and then look on the left hand side of the screen and click on Cel-Kids Network. Then on there you will see the getting along at school section. Click on that and you will find some notes to print out and use. I sent these in for my son. Christi

    The vanilla I buy is called flavorganics Organic Vanilla Extract and it says gluten-free right on the front.

    You can do it!! Just make the initial adjustment and you will feel better and that will be incentive enough. Good luck!

    Carrie , I am going to try these breadsticks tomorrow. It takes me some time to get around to making things. I'll have certain ingredients and find I am missing others and then when I finally get them, then I am out of the other ones again.     Woo hoo Crisco. That's what I was using before celiac disease. For some reason ( I think the dietician scared me away from it) I thought it would not be gluten-free and I have been using butter which makes things spread out during baking. I will gladly go back to the old familiar Crisco shortening in the big tub. Thanks so much!!

    Hi I want to makecut out sugar cookies for my kids and the recipe calls for shortening. I usually use butter but the cookies spread out. Is there a gluten-free shortening to use?

    My son loves the bionaturae pasta the best and he has tried many. This pasta looks about the same and the consistency is not mushy and tastes great. I even eat it and don't even need to. Many on here love the tinkyada pasta but my son loves this even better. He is 12.
