  1. Seeee...I just knew there was a reason I wanted to copy/paste that scientificness. Its interesting about the Parvovirus.....and I actually almost didnt include that in my post cuz I figured "Who's really gonna be interested in Parvovirus??" But I left it there and now both you and Andrea find that part most interesting! Funny how that happens...
  2. The colonoscopy cant determine anything with regards to Celiac....thats why I asked why he wanted you to eat gluten. The endoscopy is used to diagnose Celiac....so as long as he's gonna do that and not just a colonoscopy its fine....otherwise you'd be eating gluten for nothing! This page explains what they're looking for when diagnosing Celiac with...
  3. Why does your Dr. want you to eat gluten and dairy before doing a colonoscopy?? Yes. BIG-TIME depression for me. I was depressed for more than 2 years....it got to the point where I was not wanting to live. I cried most days...and my brain was pretty messed up...couldnt concentatre or focus on anything...including driving. The Dr.'s tried...
  4. Judy...I havent looked up "dumping" but from what I've read here I would say they are the same thing. To me herxing = too many toxins overwhelming the elimination organs. They cant get out so they circulate and cause symptoms. With regards to killing bugs....we end up spilling heavy metals into the system because the bugs bind with metals....especially...
  5. Judy.....of course....I'm always reading along!! I have to keep up with how everyone is doing! Miss you too!!! Sorry you're having a bad week but glad you are on the mend! I hope you do well with the low-oxalate! I'm glad to see everyone posting in one thread. I go to DS when I have time but I cant keep up with everyone and there are locks most...
  6. Anyone in the mood for scientificness?? This is a loooong one that I posted on another board...thought I'd post it here as well. Some of it is repeat stuff but the rest is newer stuff that I've learned having to do with the immune system. Its all very interesting and most certainly pertains to all of here with Lyme, metals, etc -----------------...
  7. Thanks Mia.....right back at ya!! Only in Rachelville. I'm *only* taking supplements that have been tested this way. Its the only thing thats gotten me on track. If you find you have good results with her muscle testing and find them to be reliable...it will give you so much confidence. I'm no longer afraid to take stuff because its...
  8. Hi Robbin!!!! Sorry I didnt get back to you (the pm is still in my box)...I'm horrible with pm's and emails. I *have* followed your jourmal entries and its GREAT to see you are doing so well! I guess I'm on as low-oxalate as you can get (by default). Anyways to answer the sugar question...
  9. Quest is no good for Lyme testing. Do not rely on those results....get tested through Igenex. Igenex is a speciality lab with a high sensitivity. Quest has a low sensitivity and misses most cases of Lyme. Lyme is difficult to diagnosis to begin with.....you wanna go with the best lab available. Igenex is not 100% but close to it....if your immune system...
  10. I do hope we all can have a big party somdeday!! We'll celebrate our wellness and Rinne's success with her bars. Donna will of course have her toes painted very brightly....I might be unrecognizable with my extra poundage but I'll wear a hat so you guys know which one is me. I also think about you often and always hope you are feeling well, keeping...
  11. Yup...we sure are. Those food intolerances are gonna be history! It will be interesting I'm sure. I probably only want to gain maybe 10-15 lbs....but the way eat.....who knows what could happen! So far there is no date set yet. Scott told me either October or November. I imagine its hard for them to get the dates settled...
  12. Mia...OMG heinous pee story!! It was a "peeosity". Yeah....I've had my share of craziness where nothing is going right. Its always funny later on though. I cant say I've ever been through all that with the pee spilling and the guy waiting at the door though. My pee story was that I handed the Dr. an empty container cuz I spaced...
  13. OMG!!! Rinne....I *have* to get better by the time the bars hit the supermarkets!! This is gonna be GREAT. I'm looking forward to racheling the Rinne Bars....ALL of them My goal is to make it possible to eat several Rinne Bars in one day. Ummmm.....do you guys think I might double in size once I get better?? I'm totally excited...
  14. Yeah...this is the one thing that still leaves ??'s in my mind. I just wanna make sure that Amy tests me next time I see her....and hopefully it wont be too much longer. It feels like FOREVER since I've had ART!! Anyways...I enjoy my appt.'s with her. Andrea...I meant to say that I like your new avatar. The chlidren are growing!!
  15. Hi Rinne!! We miss you!!!!!!!!
  16. Its frusterating...I know.... I went through all that with the food journals. It was hard for me....I would literally spend hours trying to figure it all out. It took me a couple years but my situation was pretty complicated. Keep at it...you will eventually figure it out. Since you've been able to narrow it down to these 3 things...the next step would...
  17. I get the lower left ab pain...sometimes right as well. For me its mainly moldy foods which trigger it. I've gotten the eye twitches before but its pretty rare....it doesnt happen enough that I've tried to link it to anything. Is vodka the only alcohol you drink?? Are you ok with any other alcoholic drinks which are gluten-free??
  18. Yeah...with a history of a tick bite I would definately make sure that doesnt get ignored. Your Dr. might not be aware that mercury detox can cause a less active infection to become very active. You dont want to trade one problem for another! My Dr.'s are also confidant that the metals are my main problem but we dont want the Lyme to become a problem...
  19. Yeah...thats what I'm afraid of. For those of us dealing with mercury... I read something encouraging on another thread (Hyperthyroid)....the poster said he/she is going through heavy metal detox and losing the food intolerances. YAY! That makes me real excited. I can read about it a thousand times over but its always the personal...
  20. Yup...this is exactly what happened with me as well. I actually *did* have Graves Disease though and not surprisingly I have mercury in my thyroid tissue as well as jaw, brain, kidneys and gut. I just started chelation less than 2 weeks ago and I'm told by the Dr.'s my food intolerances and chemical sensitivities will diminish with treatment. Yes...
  21. I cant eat most foods...I've only been eating about 5 different foods for about a year now with no luck adding in new foods. I might do okay eating something in small amounts but if I keep it in my diet I'll notice problems. I have candida and parasites contributing to the leaky gut situation. Just started treatment for mercury toxicity so we'll see...
  22. Ami....have you been tested for Lyme?? Cant remember. These things are closely tied together so its unlikely you *just* have mercury toxicity. The mercury would make you more susceptible to infections. You would definately have some bugs hanging out. I would be concerned about Lyme especially because if it were there and not a significant problem in...
  23. Patti....I was better the next day!! Yesterday I felt fine by the afternoon. I feel guilty for not being at work (and also scared of what my dept. will look like when I get back ) but I have to have access to a kitchen for my lunch....otherwise I would just commute.
  24. Cant say for sure but I think the blood sugar thing could be helped by eating the potato with protein and not all by itself. Potato turns to sugar pretty rapidly. As far as feeling better...it could be that you were having die-off from the diet. I've experienced that before where I've went on the diet...only to feel worse...then hit the ice cream again...
  25. Aaaah...the baths (I'm assuming epsom salts??) will help get rid of toxins. I think with anything promoting detox there will always be some toxins that get shifted or mobilized and dont actually leave the body. Like if you take a sauna or exercize you are mobilizing some toxins and alot will come out in sweat but not everything. Thats why you basically...
