  1. The recipes sound wonderful. I cant have rice for some reason but I'll definately try out the chicken. I'll pretty much put cilantro on anything....today I cooked it with my hamburger patties for lunch.
  2. I have to say..."sharing experiences" is one thing and thats alot of what this board is about. We can all learn from the experiences of others here and I for one, love to learn. I'm very intereseted in Lyme and its connection to Celiac....if there is one. I was interested in what Tailz had to say but I feel she was going way overboard. Its one thing to put...
  3. Lee, Thanks for getting ahold of your friend...lots of good info. I'm gonna check out the Dr.'s site too. By the way...Julie you're not in the minority....I love cilantro too.
  4. I'm pretty sure Tailz created another account because she believed she had already been banned due to not being able to log on. She pm'd me under the new name, told me she was tailz and then proceeded to explain to me why she believes I have Lymes Disease. I'm all for learning about stuff but she was very pushy. I've actually been discussing Lyme on another...
  5. Rinne, Interesting scientificness about the tests....I really wanna start researching this. I havent yet because I was gonna wait till I get the results from Igenix but I dont know if I can hold out that long. Was your friend very sick before she was treated or did they catch it early on? If I have it I've been sick close to 4 years now so I'm...
  6. Not at all Rinne....I didnt even take it that way. I understood what you were saying about co-infections and even though I dont know much about Lyme yet, I'm sure its no different then all the other diseases out there that we still dont know everything about. Judy, I didnt know you'd had the bullseye and had taken antibiotics for Lyme??? Was that...
  7. Rinne, I dont doubt this....but I think Igenix covers everything that is "known" at this time. I've never actually *seen* a tick in my life....I'm not in an area where Lyme is prevelent although I know there are cases that turn up everywhere. Because I'm not usually in area where ticks would be found I'd probably not pursue treating Lyme if the tests were...
  8. Elisabet, For the most part I'm still on the histamine restricted diet....however I did have a banana, an avocado and I also bought a plum (havent eaten yet). I spaced them out though. I did have reactions to store bought ice cream. I was making my own and sometimes I'd react and other times I wouldnt. I couldnt use sugar in the ice cream at all....
  9. I look at it in a different light I guess. People have recovered from worse things. I believe none of us are beyond recovery. If the diagnosis is correct and the proper treatment is given....things can be reversed....the body is amazing at healing itself. Like my new Dr. said...its gonna be alot of hard work on my part....but why wouldnt I work hard? Its...
  10. Yup...I do love kids. Doesnt everyone?? Hard to imagine someone not loving children but I suppose there are some out there who dont. I hope to have my own someday....if I'm lucky enough to be blessed with them. I'll definately have to get diagnosed and somewhat healthy first...I worry time will run out though.
  11. Andrea, I'll pray for Mitch tomorrow....that all goes well for him. Tell him good luck with his surgery for me. I'm off to bed now....just got a long massage and now I'm really relaxed and ready for bed.
  12. Me too! I'm so sensitive now. I'm also more compassionate. There is a lady in her 90's that shops at my store....she's the sweetest lady ever. She always apologizes to me for moving slow. She always tells me "When you get to be my age you just dont move around quickly anymore." I always tell her I've got all the time in the world...not a problem. Today...
  13. Carla, I was eating cilantro last night before bed. I was holding my head and telling my mom I could feel the cilantro pulling mercury out of my brain...hehe...I couldnt really....just being melodramatic. I eat it sometimes for this reason but last night was the first time in awhile.
  14. Stephanie, Of course....I'll be praying for that adorable little boy of yours.
  15. Great Rinne! I'm glad you got out and that it did you some good. Wow Evie. I'm glad you're ok and that hubby was there to help you. Glad you are back on the forum too. Hope you're feeling a little better now. Yeah....when it rains...it does pour....been noticing that myself.
  16. Lee...you're right. They dismiss the complicated cases because they dont wanna appear incompetent. Its easier on their egos to tell us its all in our heads. I'd be curious to hear about your friends ordeal if you can find out. I never saw a tick bite on me or anything. I do remember a weird bite with a small circle around it....I remember thinking it...
  17. Donna, Yeah...I'm excited....it took me a good nights sleep to feel better about everything though. Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed. Today I see things in a more positive light and the main thing is that I feel like my answer isn't so far away now....I feel like they'll diagnose me soon. Some people close to me arent too excited right now because...
  18. Actually when he was talking about chemical exposures he was referring to big exposures...like occupational exposures. People got sick after 9/11 due to chemical exposure, gulf war syndrome, people who work with toxic chemicals on a daily basis....stuff like that. Major exposures like that can lead to chemical sensitvity and immune dysfunction. He doesnt...
  19. YAY...very encouraging Robbin!! Thats all I want....for all of us to get better. Well that....and to be able to eat a hot fudge sundae with banana, whip cream, nuts and cherry on top. Sheeesh I must be going through withdrawl from having to go off dairy again.
  20. NOOOO....please dont let summer end. I never even got to wear my new summer dresses. I have to admit though...I do like the season changes. Not so much the drop in temp. but I like the *feel* of fall and winter....the holidays and the "cozyness" of it all.
  21. Darn....I didnt have enough time on my lunch to post. Going back to work now but wanna reply to the posts still. Be back later... Great scientificness everyone.
  22. I rememeber when I was reading about Lyme testing last year I felt like it was kind of useless...there was alot of controversary about it and everyone saying they give false negatives....missing most cases. Igenix lab was the exception it seemed. I'm kind of glad the Kaiser doc didnt have me tested because I doubt they use this lab. Anyways I feel confident...
  23. Gina, I think your last post is very telling. Wow. Enough said.
  24. Thanks Andrea, I did alot of research on Lyme last year (forgot alot of it) but dont wanna overload my brain right now especially not knowing the test results yet. I think I better hold off. Too much scientificness is probably not so good for me right now. I dont know how long I have to wait for the results...maybe someone else on the board knows...
  25. Well...I had my appt. today. It didnt go anything like I had planned it out in my head...I dont know why I'm surprised. I really liked the doctor and the nurses...everyone was warm and friendly. The thing is he seemed to think I could have Lymes disease which is really scaring the crap out of me right now. There was a time that I suspected Lyme...
