  1. Even without a noticeable reaction MSG can be damaging to our health. We are also getting PLENTY of it in most processed foods. Most of the MSG we consume is not labeled in the ingredients since they have found ways to "hide" it by processing it into other "safer sounding" ingredients. Its another neurotoxin that we are constantly exposed to unnecessarily...
  2. OMG...yesterday I felt so comfortable! It was perfect for me! Yeah....I'm never wanting this to end!
  3. Yay Rinne!! Thats soooo exciting.....I bet your sweetie is really proud of you. Well that pretty much rules me out. I'm really good at showing up (although my new boss probably wouldnt agree ) but paying attention??? Omg...thats just WAY too much to ask. LMAO! Yup...I think she's definately got a wild side....she's...
  4. I think you're right about this Jin. Thanks for the update...I hope the house stays clean after all your efforts.
  5. I might be personalising but how many people have (or have had) mercury fillings in their mouth?? The answer is ALOT. And how many of those people have also been given antibiotics? The answer is MOST. So how can anyone REALLY know for sure that the next round of antibiotics they take wont be the straw that broke the camels back....pushing that person...
  6. I dont have a job where I'm around children all day but I DO know for sure that in all my years of schooling I did not know of any kids in my class (or in the entire school for that matter) who had food allergies. None of my friends required special diets and none of them were sick. Its completely different today and its not because people are more aware...
  7. Personally, I dont feel that it would be necessary to have an entire forum just for candida. I think that the Food Intolerance/ Leaky Gut forum is a suitable place for questions regarding Candida. Many people have thyroid disease in addition to Celiac...or Diabetes in addition to Celiac...yet there is no single forum dedicated to these other conditions...
  8. Antibiotics and vaccines are definately necessary.....however, now we are at the opposite end. Now we're living in a time where antibiotics are abused and we are over vaccinating our children. These things may have increased life expectancy but now we are destroying our quality of life because we are abusing these things and it does have an impact on the...
  9. I have had this problem recently too. Its kind of random....sometimes I'm able to edit my posts and other times the "edit" option is completely gone. I did check to make sure that I'm logged on when this is happening and thats not the problem......the edit button just disappears!
  10. I cleared out my inbox. Dont worry...nobody here is annoying. Questions are always welcome.
  11. These are my Enterolab results: Fecal Antigliadin IgA 16 Units (Normal Range <10 Units) Fecal Antitissue Transglutaminase IgA 15 Units (Normal Range <10 Units) Microscopic Fecal Fat Score: 912 Units (Normal Range < 300 Units) HLA-DQ Gene Molecular analysis: HLA-DQB1*0301, 0501 I really havent put alot of effort into understanding how...
  12. I think there is definately some truth in this. Personally, I think theres alot more involved in the immune reactions to gluten, dairy and other foods. These food intolerances are becoming more and more prevelant. There is definately an increase in the occurance of gluten intolerance.....I'm not convinced that this is based solely on awareness or better...
  13. Hi Moonstone....welcome to the board. The only side effect from the Ketotifen was drowsiness. It can really knock me out in the first few days...after that the drowsiness isnt an issue. When you first start it...its better to take a low dose and work up...to avoid the drowsiness. Also start out with only taking it at night the first few days. I...
  14. Mia....I know the feeling!! I do MUCH better with avoiding the "healthy" foods. I still have to really scrutinize ingredients but I'm able to eat some things I can actually ENJOY. Th beef and peas was getting really old...so this feels pretty good.
  15. I have not had any genetic testing done yet and I'm not all that familair with the tests. I do know that there are various labs that offer these tests...I dont know which one I would recommend because I've never looked into it. The test is expensive....it will probably be a "next step" for me if I continue to have problems excreting metals after these...
  16. Nora, we dont normally lose our health because of one issue. Its more often that things pile up over time and eventually its more than the immune system can handle. Thats when we develop chronic symptoms. One of my Dr.'s told me that its always the "last straw" that gets the blame for the illness....but the reality is that things were building up long before...
  17. I agree that Celiac may have multiple triggers...whatever the trigger may be its more than likely something which places stress on the immune system. There is definately a genetic component to Celiac....we know that for sure. Personally, I do not believe that a gluten intolerance in those who are not genetically susceptible can ever develop into full blown...
  18. Yes, DMPS does not chelate mercury from the brain. Its not a good idea to move mercury from the brain early on in treatment. The organs, extracellular mercury and intracellular mercury should be dealt with prior to mobilizing any mercury from the brain. The last thing you want to do is redistribute mercury to the brain....which is what can happen early on...
  19. Awww...I'm glad. We all definately need to have hope! I havent had the easiest time with all of this but one thing I've never been without is hope. Dont worry....once you start making progress you'll look back and you'll see how far you've come. Its a really good feeling. Trust me...you'll get there too. You just take to take it one day at a time.
  20. Well I'm back to eating alot of different foods again! Yay! I'm not too sure whats made the difference but in the past week I started chelation again as well as the oral minerals + folinic acid and B12. Theres still alot of minerals I need to supplement but I'm guessing that reducing the copper is helping. Last night I went to a birthday...
  21. I had the bed bug feeling...like ants were crawling on me. I also had RLS and the random pin-prick feelings on my skin. For me the symptoms were related to food intolerances...mostly food chemicals which my body was unable to process. I no longer have any of these symptoms unless I eat the offending foods. I had wondered if possibly the...
  22. Exactly! I was pretty oblivious about my body back when I was healthy. Everything seemed to work the way it should and I had no reason to pay attention. Things are different now. I HAD to become aware and I HAD to pay attention to every symptom....even the minor ones. It all means something. I felt the same as you....that its not normal to have...
  23. Happy Mothers Day to all the Mom's!!!
  24. A positive Lyme test does mean she's been been exposed. If she had any symptoms she should have been treated. I'm assuming that she must have had some symptoms otherwise the Dr. would not have run the test. Yes, Lyme does cross the placenta....if she was infected its possible that you and your sister were also exposed before birth. If you got bit all the...
  25. I'm actually not intolerant to corn. My original post in this thread is over two years old now and I did determine quite awhile ago that corn is not the issue. I did get my thyroid meds compounded for several months but I no longer do that....its been about a year and a half now that I've been back on my uncompounded Armour. Thanks for the input though...
