  1. Had the best experience and had to share! Not that I have time to be on the internet!

Last year at this time I was sobbing. I could not make sugar cookie cutout and have the cookies keep their shape. Fast forward a year and life is good! I tried the 123 Sugar Cookie Cut out with wonderful results. The trees, stars, bells, santas, and snowmen all kept their shape!

    PS-The cookies tasted good too!

  2. I also think the website for McDonald's also worries about cc. They cut the chicken into strips on the same board that they cut gluten on.

I usually only get the apples with carmel dip. They come sealed so I know that a silly/incompetent worker did not mess it up.

  3. Does anyone have a good recipe for a no bake pumpkin pie? I noticed one of the magazines (I should have bought it) had a non gluten-free recipe for a no bake pumpkin pie. The crust was a graham craker, easy to do gluten-free, but I can't remember the filling. Anyone know?

  4. This is going to be one of those areas that you have to decide for yourself. I usually decide wether or not to eat something that is made in the same facility based on the company. I know that Amy's tries very hard to reduce cc (cleaning lines however, it does not always work) and so I will eat their food. Other companies that I am not familar with I tend not to eat the products where a facility is shared.

  5. I firmly believe honesty is the best policy. I think the bf should tell his Mom. I also think it would be a great opportunity to call her as well. It is not easy. I'll I have to do is think about how hard it was to cook the first month of my dx. I cc myself countless times.

So maybe you will have to do more to make sure you do not get sick. I have found my mom in law to be wonderful. I think most people when given the chance will treat others with dignity and respect when those qualities have been bestowed upon them.

  6. I wish I knew the answer to your question. I know the docs suggest getting the shot in October or November. I did not get one while I was pregnant (flu not a problem and pregnant over the summer)! I am sure someone else will chime in soon with an answer!

  7. It took me about 6 months before I noticed the diet helping. Then by nine months I really felt great. I think it just took my body a while to heal (my vili were completely flat). Give your self some time, know that you will make mistakes and keep with the diet.

  8. This was an issue for me when I was first dx. I finally decided I was the chef and I was in charge! That meant that all dinners would be gluten-free :) It has worked out great. The kids and dh get their gluten at lunch and breakfast and dinner is gluten-free. No one seems to miss it. You really do need to do what works best for you and your family. Have you told them how you feel? That might help.

    Good Luck!
