the coffee cake turned out great!! the one downside is that the box is very small. will be costly if the mix is used often.

when i purchased them they were frozen with the icing already on. i just microwaved the frozen rolls until soft. think i will try them again now that the frosting is on the side!

i use authentic foods multi blend gluten-free flour mix. i have made quick breads, muffins, pancakes and cookies. i also use it in recipes that need flour as a thickener. i use it cup for cup. there are also several people on this board that swear by better batter flour.

Whey is dairy not gluten. They "read" safe however that does not mean they are gluten-free. I would try searching the internet to see if anyone else has contacted the manufactuar.

I have used the bc gluten-free cake mixes several times. Both the yellow and the chocolate. I do prefer the chocolate. Never had any problems with the cupcakes.

I have been twice!! Love being able to have chips and salsa out. I tried the pork green chile in a bowl with rice, very yummy:)

I use Authentic Foods Mulit Blend gluten-free Flour and for the most part use it cup for cup. I do not make "bread" from the flour but have had success with pancakes, muffins, cookies and quick breads. Others on the board have raved about Better Batter flour. Good luck!

I'm looking for a good gluten-free cheesy potato recipe my old recipe is as follows (if you know how to adapt it I would love it)
1 bag hash browns
2 cups shredded cheddar
16 oz sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup (this is where the gluten comes in)
That is all of the ingredients but I don't know how to change the soup into something gluten free.
Thanks for any help!
I just made this for Easter! I also top it with crushed gluten-free corn flakes and butter, adds a nice contrast. I use this recipe
Open Original Shared Link
to replace all my condensed cream of something soups. I love it! Not as easy as opening a can but it is gluten-free:)
Hope this helps,

It took me 6 months before I felt better. It might have helped if I had cut out dairy and alcohol. That is the kicker about hindsight:)

I am looking for a safe place to eat around San Pedro. My friend noticed there is an In and Out in San Pedro. Anyone try this location or had experience with In Out? Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks,

My family and I will be staying one night in San Pedro before we board the ship for our cruise. Does anyone know of any safe places to eat in San Pedro? There seem to be several places in Long Beach but the cab ride over would be very expensive.
Thanks for your help!

I did not notice any improvements until several months in. I did not feel "normal" until month six. Keep in mind I had no villi by the time I got my dx.

For some reason I do the same thing I check the chili beans label too! I have not seen a chili bean can that is safe. Maybe call Bush's, there might be a label mistake. I don't think I would eat until I know for sure. I tend to be of the "better off safe, than sorry" philosophy.

I have eaten these occasionally and not had issues. I am very sensitive and know when I eat something I shouldn't. When I researched this brand on the internet it seemed to come up safe.
Feel better soon!

I do not have a throid due to cancer (years and years ago). I have been on synthroid going on 17 years, celiac for about 4. Never had a problem with synthroid. My doctors told me the same thing 17 years ago, to not take the generic due to problems with consistancy.

I have two very strong reasons to stay on the gluten-free diet. My children and pain! I get very sick from cross contamination let alone a huge chunk of gluten. I stay sick for about 4 weeks. By the fourth week I am starting to feel better. Is eating gluten worth a month of my life? No. Plus there is a strong chance my kids will someday have celiac. I need to be the example, show them that my life is rich and full without gluten.
Find what motivates you and realize your health and life are worth a gluten-free diet.

We do foil packets over the fire with beans, cut up hot dogs, and whatever suits your fancy:) We have added green peppers, onions, chesse, pineapple (sounds gross but it is really good), and mustard. Then we "sculpt" our foil packets (this year Hershey kiss) and place on the grate over the fire for about 20 minutes. Very easy clean up! Have fun.

PS- for lunch I love hummus, vegies and crackers:)
