  1. I am still having slight digestive issues, but taking a digestive enzyme pill after each meal seems to be helping.
  2. I know that everyone is different so this might not work for you, but I have just started taking a digestive enzyme pill after each meal and I have been feeling a lot better.
  3. Thank you! I'll let you know if it helps. I am so tired of phantom symptoms of illness.
  4. Thank you! I have visited some of these threads already, but the others will be helpful too.
  5. I arranged an a appointment for a free consultation with a naturopathic clinic and I am looking into their IV therapy treatments since they listed malabsorption, chronic stress, anxiety and depression among the conditions that are possibly treated (all of which I believe-the neurological ones stemming from the malabsorption). Does anyone have experience with...
  6. Thank you for this. It is so hard to keep replacing groceries only to find out I might not be able to eat them when we don't have the money to do so. My husband recently signed us up for insurance benefits through his work, so as soon as that kicks in, I will hopefully be able to look into treatment for GERD. Would I need to see a Gastroenterologist? So,...
  7. I can completely relate to this. When I try to explain to my doctor that I am certain I have malabsorption, she looks at me like I'm crazy. I try to explain my feelings of derpersonalization and she recommends I should see a psychiatrist, but I know what I am experiencing is tied in with my constipation, flatulence, acid reflux, etc and the most likely cause...
  8. I have gone off gluten and most dairy because I believe I have malabsorption and I think my digestive issues tie in with the migraines I have had since I was a kid. I have not been officially tested for Celiacs because my doctor discouraged it. I don't have any insurance and can't afford to get more testing done. I was already tested for Thyroid/metabolism...
  9. When I was in high school, I was overweight and eating a lot of junk food. I also drank a lot of soda. I always figured this could have been why I had embarrassing loud gas noises that would come up into my chest during classes after eating. During periods of Silent reading, I worried that the whole class could hear my strange noises. As an adult, I...
  10. I have experienced this as well. I am finding that with migraines, most doctors try to medicate or if that doesn't work, they try to medicate for depression or anxiety, instead of digging deeper. When I did my own research into my symptoms I found that with the doctors were prescribing triptans, which for my rare type of genetic migraines, could lead to stroke...
  11. I will start off by saying, I don't have health insurance. I had it in California, but when I moved up to Oregon, I was denied because of my health history (including my migraines). Now I can't even think about paying any kind of monthly premium even if it a health insurance application was accepted, because health issues forced me to quit my job and my husband...
  12. hey all, I am a Gluten free newbie and a member of the community suggested I should introduce myself and explain my situation in a new thread, so here goes: The things you need to know about me: I am in my early 30s. I have had hemiplegic migraines inherited from my dad since I was six or 7. Aura with the migraines usually runs the full gamut from visual...
  13. Thank you! I will do that.
