  1. I finally found the Dora the Explorer Cereal. I've read some posts about it being gluten free. Has this been verified by anyone? I took a quick look at the ingredients: There didn't seem to be anything bad, but there was some stuff that I was unsure of. Has anyone made further inquiries?
  2. Thanks for the help. I have emailed the company back.
  3. There is a local restaurant in Nashville that I have been in contact with about what I can and cannot eat. They have been very helpful, but they say, due to a liscensing agreement, they cannot tell me what spices are in their black beans. Are there any spices that I should ask her about? I can't think of anything. Everything else appears to be fine. There...
  4. Is Tofu Gluten free? I have never cooked with it before but I wanted to try some in a Pad Thai recipe. Thanks for the help.
  5. I know there have been threads on this in the past, but I can't remember if anyone had any definitive answer: Can we cook with Kingsford Charcoal, which has gluten? My doctor didn't think it would be a problem, but he didn't sound so convincing. It seems like it would all burn off and not get into the food, but I really have no clue. Thoughts?
  6. For the first time since being diagnosed (last November), I ate a place other than PF Chang's our Outback. I took a Triumph Dining Card to a local Mexican restaurant. The manager had never been asked to serve a gluten free meal, but he could not have been more accomodating. He said most of the stuff they had (including the chips) I couldn't eat, but he told...
  7. Fixed the link, I think. Open Original Shared Link

  9. I know there have been several posts about P.F. Chang's. I eat there quite a bit since it's right across the street from my office. Today, I called and asked a manager if they use a clean wok on gluten-free orders. He said "Typically no. Only if the customer asks for it." I have never asked in the past. I will ask now.
  10. I just had my 6-month (actually it was more like 7 month) biopsy on Friday. While the doc doesn't have the tests back yet, he said I still have a ways to go until the villi are completely healed. I started off with complete atrophy, so I guess I had a long way to go. I have maintained an extremely strict diet since diagnoisis in late October, so it looks...
  11. I had rumors that Woodchuck Cider was Gluten Free but also read that there were some problems with it. I emailed the company and got a quick, and positive, response. Has anyone had trouble with this product? I really enjoy Cider, and although it's not beer, it's very beer-like. Thank you for your interest in Woodchuck Draft Ciders. This will clear...
  12. I'm going to Atlanta later this week for work. Any suggestions on place to eat? I can always fall back on Outback Steakhouse, but I'm looking for other suggestions. Thanks.
  13. I was under the impression that all Starbucks beverages, with the obvious exception of the stuff with brownies, were Gluten Free. I thought that had been posted here before. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyone else know?
  14. Thanks for the feedback. I live out in Bellevue; don't make it to Rivergate much at all. Thanks.
  15. I know they claim that their waffle fries are gluten free. Are there any CC issues with this? Anybody have any good or bad experiences eating there? Thanks
  16. Thanks for the responses. I will probably continue to eat it. If others who are sensative eat it with no issues then it should be fine.
  17. Since being diagnosed about four months ago, I have eaten Rice Twice cereal almost every day. I have had no problems with it, but I don't get sick from gluten so I wouldn't know if there was an issue. My first question: Has anyone had any cc problems with this cereal? I just called the company and the Rice Twice is not run a dedicated line. They clean...
  18. Thanks for the responses. My primary concern right now is healing 100 percent — getting to the point where my energy is back and I can begin to exercise again. Once I get to that point (and I know it might take a while), I will be willing to take some risks (go out more often, etc.). My villi were severely damaged according to my biopsy, so it might be a...
  19. I doubt anyone can give me a definitive answer on this, but I would like to hear if anybody has any thoughts. I have been gluten free since being diagnosed on Nov. 1. I am fortunate in that I never got sick from eating gluten. My symptoms have been fatigue and headaches, which started after coming down with mono about four years ago. Since diagnosis I...
  20. I have never had Ians or Wellshire Farms Chicken Nuggets. Can you buy them at 'normal' grocery stores??
  21. I've had headaches on a regular basis for the past four years. Nothing too bad, but just enough to bother me. I have been gluten free since Nov. 1 and the headaches have not subsided much, if any. I am being patient, realizing that it can take a long time (maybe a year or two) for my intenstines to fully heal and help my body get all the nutrients it needs...
  22. I am under the impression (from others' comments on this board) that all of Starbuck's in-store coffee and drinks are gluten free, with the exception of some obvious stuff like brownie-flavored seasonal drinks.
  23. I know that almost all of Starbuck's drinks are okay, but what about the frappuccino-type stuff that you can buy at in a bottle at a convenience store? I assume those are okay as well. Has anyone every verified this? Thanks
  24. Can anyone tell me if centrum is gluten free? Thanks.
  25. I have always had to urinate a lot, but I seem to be a little more often after going gluten free (about three months now). I have been feeling pretty good of late (my problems were more fatigue than anything else) but I get dehydrated very easily and drink tons of water. I wake up feeling like I am hungover sometimes because I am so dehydrated. A tall glass...
