ARCHIVED Hashimoto's Cause False Positive?
SPinch03 replied to Bttrfly62's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Last year I was tested for AGA IgG/IgA as well as tTG IgG/IgA. My AGA IgG was the only test that was positive, had biopsy and it was negative. Doctors all pretty much said it was probably a false positive, I'm assuming from having hashimoto's. I was just retested for DGP IgG/IgA and a repeat of tTG IgG/IgA.... so far my... -

Hello everyone! I'm back after a year of still no answers. Finally seeing a new group of doctors since I recently got a new job. My new primary doctor thinks I may have celiac and wants me to get another opinion. Going to see the new gastroenterologist next week and I can't wait to go. I'm hoping to finally get some answers to the issues I've been having...- 3 replies

ARCHIVED Newbie With Question On Labs
SPinch03 replied to SPinch03's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Thanks for your story! Doctor told me to start taking over the counter iron and vitamin B12 in the meantime and if I'm still not absorbing that then I'll have to see a hematologist and receive it through IV. I really don't have any intestinal symptoms either, at least nothing that truly bothers me... I am just TIRED! I'm 27 and I shouldn't be wishing I...- 3 replies

Let me start off by giving a little background on myself. I am 27 years old and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis back in 2006. Since my diagnosis I have taken different doses of levothyroxin and everything seems to be under control except for my anti-TPo antibodies which are very high. Now fast forward to the present.... I've recently noticed...- 3 replies
