  1. My Daughter and I guffawed through Elf a couple of weeks ago. Just heard this on TV this evening: apparently Will is one of the most miserable stars to meet...won't do autographs, doesn't talk or even wave back. Heinous....He's ELF! Yeti is shovelling the driveway. Actually, he's chipping away at the driveway--we've had downpouring rain all day, which...
  2. Well...I mentioned the suspicious Santa at the mall to MIL...Her eyes widened, she grabbed my car keys, and was gone. Turns out she rushed to the mall, marched up to Santa and whipped off his hat and moustache. Yep, there he was. And here he is...she has brought the yeti home, as she is quite concerned about his well-being, and since she is well-versed...
  3. Heyy! I don't think I've missed any of Tom's posts...did I miss something special? I know of his nakedness whilst posting...is that the special thing? (perhaps that would depend on whether or not things were...changing...at all) Looks like you'll just have to PM me, as well, Tom, for I am also driven mad by unrelieved curiosity...
  4. Good Morning, all! Are you better Patti? I felt a slight glutening, myself, yesterday, and can't exactly trace the source. Odd...I wasn't even pulling any gluteny noodles out of my DD's nose... I have something to report to you all...yesterday, as I was fighting my way through the mall, I glanced at the Santa sitting in his big chair, with a line-up of...
  5. (SIGH)........but of course....
  6. When what to my wondering eyes should appear, MIL crashing through the door..."I'mmmmm heeeeerrrrrre!!"
  7. He was covered in fur, from his head to his foot, Seashells and electrodes, on his head he had put. A Murphy's Ridge harness had been flung on his back, Our yeti's returned!! To the World Sillyak...
  8. The stockings were hung in our forum, with care, In hope for a float shaped like a Care Bear....
  9. You are so creative (sorry...Kree-AY-tiv), Tom...Who else would have thought of that isolated, perfect situation as a metaphor for your ear discomfort? I know exactly this leatherworking man. Can picture him...long hair, large girth, leather stetson-type hat, couple of interesting tattoos, assessing his customer's waistline while rubbing his bearded chin...
  10. Morning, Sillies! First official day of winter. We are going up to 6 degrees today, and 9 degrees (50 F) tomorrow, with a deluge of rain. Wow, I certainly wasn't dreaming of a wet Christmas... Now there is a sound I have not heard in a while, and one which I do NOT miss... Sounds like you're having a great time, though, Tom... So...
  11. Aw, Patti....that is sad news. Cookies help, but you want your son there! I'm sorry... Alex...you do not have to be a parent to experience these fluids, one or any combination, erupting into your life...just wait till you hit post 500... Unbelievable...To this day I wonder if I dreamed it. But no, it happened. And it was...
  12. Love your new av, Nikki...you look like us over here, bundled up in the depths of a classic Canadian winter (although it does not officially begin until tomorrow...ubelievable...)..
  13. I got one better on you, Tom: Driving home from a restaurant many years ago, I glanced in the rear-view mirror at my daughter, at that time a toddler in her car seat. She had a cold at the time, and was fussing a lot. I noticed her nose was quite snotty, so I pulled onto a side street, got the industrial kleenex out of my pocket, and opened the back door...
  14. Mornin' Y'all! My new pic struck me as particularly amusing this morning...here I am with two beautiful kids, a great DH, and I appear in my official Christmas avatar, posed in front of our lovely tree, with only my goofball sub-standard poodle.... Such is my life..... Hi, Peter! Happy, happy holidays to you! This reminds...
  15. Well, Janet, you are approaching post 900. A small vomit is often the preamble to the large onslaught of 1000... Tell me about it. My children, the truly camera-shy. Have no interest in posing in any shots. Even dragging them to family portrait appointments we are, literally, dragging them. Will have to sneak up on them and get a candid...
  16. 'Twas. It was crunched up in the corner where the wall meets the ceiling in our bedroom. I still remember the noise when the sweet spot of my racket met that little body...eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... ...Or the noise of me screaming... Susie: Someone in our midst has suggested setting you up with their father.
  17. Yes, I have some disturbing memories involving bats. A number of years ago, my DH squished a bat with my tennis racket.
  18. You bet...have I got the guy for her! Uh... ...Sounds like this has been attempted before. You've been a project in the past, Susie?....
  19. Empire?..... Is this Robert Bigelow? Right on the English/Scottish border (right, Nikki?)...I can feel her getting closer as the day wears on... But yes, perhaps she can be made useful. if she's brought some magical poop with her, and if I can get some incantations out of her that she has picked up from the First Nations people she knows...
  20. That's the spirit!! I can feel the excitement building.... I'm smiling, too, Susie. The world has indeed turned appropriately. Maybe this guy will end up with...what was her name....Something Burton, the little creature who tattled on you about stealing. Well, spoke to my bro last night. He is coming to visit Dec. 26th, with his...
  21. And a fair mornin' to you all....! Okay, December 20th....(need an emoticon suggesting.....anxiousness...fear?)... MIL flies into Ottawa today. Fifteen-day visit, seven of which will be spent here. Now, she is an undiagnosed, denying celiac, so if by chance she is deciding at this moment to finally do some reading on the subject, and stumbles...
  22. That's wonderful, Amanda! What a Christmas gift....
  23. My BIL has given the okay to train our yeti for the Yukon Quest. The Iditerod will not accept bipedal creatures on their entered teams. Now, BIL may be able to train him to stay on all fours while running, but I don't think he wants to chance it. Jess, you were involved in some...interesting...things with said yeti...was he ever on all fours? ...
  24. Okay, Okay... Internet back up. Telephone guy came today, fixed one line that includes the computer and two phones, but didn't fix the second line as it would have meant going into the ceiling, finding the wire, blah blah blah....so DH is going to make an attempt at replacing this said wire. GAD.... Actually, this repairman didn't seem to know too much...
  25. AAARRRRGGGHHHH! Just lost ANOTHER witty post, catching up, telling you all where I've been.... Hafta summarize later. Bev, beautiful pic!!
