  1. I've been thinking this, also...Well, we DO have the honeymoon... Amanda, I've got all these butterflies in my stomach for you...kind of nice to have those, again, instead of gas pain. Cannot think of ANY poignant advice, or any resonating quotations about love and/or marriage. Man, I'm slipping!
  2. Nikki, what are you complaining about? I agree, our yeti beats all beings gas-wise, but you were only doing his hair...I was the inseam measurer, remember?! Talk about a rush job... So, he'll have the shell bikini on under his tux, and perhaps he can fling his pants off as he's ascending the aisle for the big view. I can understand his being "difficult...
  3. Not to worry, Amanda! He'll be all set. Nikki's got his hair absolutely gorgeous--she put some kind of a conditioning rinse in it. I'm telling you, that monster could now be quite an effective marketing tool for Vidal Sassoon. "Vidal texturizing balm...for the most ABOMINABLE hair trouble..." pan out to our yeti, a brush being pulled through his luxurious...
  4. Yep, I second that...just far too much fat and sugar in the packaged gluten-free stuff. Even the pasta has more calories than the regular stuff!
  5. I love Gwen Stefani. 'The Sweet Escape' is forever within my treadmill tracks. Embarrassing tunes in my collection... Video Killed the Radio Star Jump in the Line Goody Two Shoes Wow...am I dating myself?
  6. Offer, shmoffer! That's where they've placed me.... Hilarious...Susie, while I was typing the interesting word "Bugling", as in the present continuous tense of "to bugle", I glanced at it and thought, "Gawd, that could easily be misread as "BULGING", pr. continuous of "To bulge". But I went ahead, thinking, "Nah. Nobody on this thread would do that...
  7. Richard, the Witness Protection PrograMME gives you choices as to where you will relocate...Ottawa has been a wonderful new home for me. Can be cool, however... Bob and Vince aren't together up there...Bob Goulet is in his OWN special place in Heaven, where the beautiful voices go. Ya know, on gossamer wings, cherubic bugling, all that stuff
  8. Oh....so...that isn't Susie in her avatar? Speaking of avatars--I'm always so amused at how completely inaccurate my mental picture is of a person when I've never seen them. Richard, you are NOTHING like I pictured you. I've been seeing a big guy (like, linebacker-type), fair hair, regular features, perhaps a beard now that I think of it...I'm always...
  9. Good morning, all my chocolate-filled friends! Ugh. Man, I'm off to the gym. (GREEN GUY HERE!...TWICE! NO, THRICE!)
  10. Now, the top two reasons...they apply to both trick-or-treating and sex...right? (I'm a scorpio, remember...) Bev? Janet, how on earth can you precisely recall when you joined this madness?!...or muster the energy to look it up? Gad, I'm lucky if I can remember when I last ate...
  11. Me, too! Sounds like an enviable neighboUrhood, Janet!
  12. Hello, Meredith! Nice to meet you... I'm off to turn some tricks--er, NO! Trick or treat!! ..Silly me...!
  13. Okay, okay...just trying to connect some dots, here.... The wonderful Robert Goulet languishes in an American hospital for a week, waiting for a double-lung transplant, before succumbing to a fatal pulmonary illness....A bizarre-looking man in partial hosptal gear is spotted, clutching what looks like a huge incision in his upper side--where one lung would...
  14. Jess! That's a terrifying look on your face....! Happy Hallowe'en, indeed! Had you just been glutened?
  15. Bev!! You're a fellow scorpio....ohhhhh, that makes perfect sense. We are just so damned WEIRD...Do you know that each of the astrological signs has an area of the body that it rules, so to speak? Scorps head up the sexual organ dept. I wasn't certain how to react to this information when I read it, and then reread it many times as I kept looking it up...
  16. Sarah, What a story! I'm so happy to hear that gluten may be the problem. It's funny, isn't it...sometimes in the frustration of living with this food restriction, we wish the cause of our symptoms could be ANYTHING else! Hearing a story like this allows me to give my head a good shake--my illness can be controlled with a diet change. It ain't cancer...
  17. Oh! Just heard it on the news...Bob did not get lungs in time...he passed away this evening... The end of that beautiful voice..
  18. You have nothing to lose by getting the celiac blood panel done. There can be false negatives, so a negative may be meaningless...but a positive means you have it for sure. The symptoms you have described would certainly make me suspect gluten intolerance. Stay on here, and read, read, read! Lots of great people on here, with all kinds of advice and support...
  19. Okay...hang on, Susie...I'm going to call the retirement home, see if my dad's around, or if my mom has seen him the last few hours...
  20. Yes, and my offer is still there re. my blow-up lawn Santa, but Tom hasn't responded to it. Perhaps he thinks it wouldn't fit in his pod. TOM! Silliiiieeee!! It DEFLATES! Takes up no room whatsoever!
  21. Okay...I hate having no friends! I'm finding you all and you're ALL going to be informed that I've put you on my friends list. ..Wait, now...is this like facebook? Can you refuse to be my friend? I don't know how I would manage that. Any psychiatrist recommendations yet, Tom?
  22. Isn't she lovely?

  23. I am so amused by the complexity of it all...Ha! Friends are friends because of the ease with which the relationship happens...Unless you're on the Celiac.com forum--then you've gotta WORK for them friends! And I must say...do any of us sit at work, or in the car, or stand at the bank, and suddenly think, "Whoa! Forget this--I gotta get to my computer and...
  24. OMG...Talk about politically incorrect...Ranking people? I was blissfully unaware of this feature while it was around. I'd be ONE star, across the board--then, like you, Tom, I'd be asking for psychiatrist referrals in the Ottawa area.
  25. Goodness! I won't avoid the issue--kept my maiden name...but don't get me started on that. Although...I must ask this: Amanda, are you keeping your last name?....say you are...! Okay, so now I'm REALLY a'wonderin...(Thank you, Tom): Not only do I not understand why we make a special Friends list, I haven't understood the dynamics of such list. A few...
