  1. Yes, Nikki!!! DO IT FOR RANDALL!!
  2. No, there's absolutely nothing wrong with trying the gluten-free diet for all KINDS of things. Some people, however, seem to need a positive test diagnosis to actually believe that they're intolerant. Too bad, because the only truly accurate diagnostic is dietary response.
  3. Have you been trying to lose weight, and the scale won't move? This can often signify low thyroid, and thyroid issues can be common with us celiacs.
  4. Congratulations, Ginsou! I can't tell you how disappointing it is that there is no enterolab in Canada, as I have a couple of acquaintances and two family members who have tested negative on the panel (and we all know the track record of those negatives) but who I am sure are gluten intolerant.
  5. That one is actually quite an old joke, like from the fifties. But a CLASSIC...
  6. Yep, I now suspect so. Ah, well...I tried! (Facebook actually is a lot of good, harmless fun, and easy to join. Mostly big with the university and young'un crowd, but I now seem to have a number of friends on this, so I couldn't resist following along, sheep that I am...)
  7. Wow, Susan...urban legends or real? Hilarious. And a bit sad, I guess... Okay, so here's the link: Open Original Shared Link Okay, let's get the world together on this. F@*k global warming, this is something that REALLY matters!
  8. To acces Facebook, just google it. I think you need to be a member to access other members' profiles, groups and events. It's easy to become a member if one is so inclined, as you just click on "join", I think. But you may be able to browse without being a member. If you mean how does one access the "Where's Randall" group, you just put the group name...
  9. Good one, Amanda... My ten year-old son has been begging me nonstop to mention this on the forum, so I've finally been worn down enough that I will do it. Anyone who is on Facebook (especially you, Nikki, as he's looking in particular for a UK audience) can see the event and group my son has started...it is really something, and he's emailed a number of...
  10. Y'know, I would take the falling snow over fog any day. And we don't hit -20 too often. I would also take the crisp, dry days at -5 that we see most of the winter over a winter of cool dampness and fog. Whoa, that sounds REALLY depressing. Hey!! It's the silly thread.... In his early years, my dad was a radio announcer. When he walked under a bridge...
  11. I'm right with ya, Susan. Every fall brings me here for a time...a classic funk. But here there is an obvious explanation: metres-high snowdrifts, dark by 5 pm, and -20...it's cooooommmmmingggg........
  12. Believe me, guys, we all need google. How do ya think I got all that info? Heaven forbid I'd be walking around with my head full of such innocuous information about that dreaded coiffure!
  13. Ahhhh, going down mullet-memory lane.... FYI: The word
  14. Hey!! No one told me about what happens when you hit 666 posts...why are these little HORNS sprouting out from my temples?! Goodness, I smell sulphur...
  15. Great post, Tom...and M, I've been lucky enough to have never had any neurological symptoms after glutening, but my mother's clinical depression has pretty well disappeared after going gluten-free. I'm thinking if she also eliminated dairy, she'd be the passenger in Tom's car at Disneyland!
  16. Jess, I completely second your recommendations. Peter Green is my hero!
  17. ....those are scary, cultish-looking symbols... Hey...and look at my post count......oooooooo!
  18. Ya haven't got Coles Notes Down There? Got me through high school. Cheating-type synopsis books when cramming for exams.... ...Right....You're bloody well right!.....
  19. Man, if there is a true Grand Poobah anywhere, it is Richard. Get him onto that American Poobah hat site, for this man needs a crown! Daughter of the Light...a new subject of Richard the Strong....or have I simply missed your interesting posts in this thread? Can't imagine that would be possible!
  20. Yes, our Great Founding Member! We didn't even have time to pull out the red carpet, arrange the bugle players or nuthin'! Like a great emporer arriving amoungst his subjects. King Richard...after all, "Richard" means strong ruler.
  21. Oh...I can't keep up with you guys....! I need a Coles Notes for the Tickle Me thread. So... I have an answering machine in my car. It says, "I'm home now, but leave a message and I'll call back when I'm out".
  22. Welcome back, Richard! I'm a relative newcomer to all of this blatant silliness. I am also A BIG fan of Bob Goulet...I'm 41...and I think I'm gonna tie one of those bells on me husband (oops! Sorry, Pirate Day's long over...)
  23. Bev, you may have already done so, but could you put a pic of Uncle Ray up in your avatar space? I've heard so much about him, I feel like I know him.
