Moongirl posted a topic in Related Issues & Disorders
So after all the aches and pains on my right side, and after all the test, they found a cyst in my kidney, about a half and inch in size. Makes so much sense because of my back pains and occasional nasuea. Comes and goes, never a pattern... Does this have anything to do with celiac disease? i think that my body is prone to cysts, this def is not my first... -

ARCHIVED Face Moisturizer
Moongirl replied to Fiddle-Faddle's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Im just thinking here... I thought P&G response also included that they get some of their raw materials from an outside source thats is why they cant guarantee them to be gluten-free (ie the fragrance) Same goes for the Pantene products they make. Unless something has changed, which I will find out cause I emailed them again. Ill let you know!!!! -

Moongirl replied to jmengert's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
This is by the Unilever company...the same people that make Dove, I would trust using this shampoo. I did however read one of the bottles, i believe it was the yellow one for volume, it clearly says wheat protein on it. All the others I checked seemed ok. Im willing to try it!! -
ARCHIVED Face Moisturizer
Moongirl replied to Fiddle-Faddle's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I believe that Cetaphil only gauratees there face wash to be safe and nothing else. Oil of Olay will not guarantee their products to be gluten-free as well due to outsourcing materials. I use Neutrogena, they can send you a big list for their gluten-free products, i still have to come across one that has Gluten in it. They have one for sensitive skin.... -

ARCHIVED Health Insurance Denial
Moongirl replied to bigapplekathleen's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I do work for an health insurance co. I do think that some carriers under certian plans can deny you due to pre-exsisting conditions, (especially if its your going under a non-group plan) but i have never heard gluten intolerance being one. Usually it would be something a lot more serious. My advice, I would shop around to other health carriers. Im not... -
