Anyone done the gluten-free thing in Bermuda....Im looking at condo type hotels so im not stuck eating out everday, also because it can get very very expensive if u eat out a lot. Any info would be great. Thanks =)

I see exactly what your saying, but I also think about the fact that I am always around places, ie my workplace kitchen, even home ( i have non celiacs living there too), where there are large quantities of gluten. There is a toaster that sits right next to out coffee maker at work. As careful as I am every single day of CC, I have to live my life....i cant... -

ive never had a problem with DD, but sometimes coffee itself will bother me if its too strong, also the cream/milk can get ur intestines going if you have problems with lactose. I have rotator cuff tendonitis.....i went to physical therapy for almost 2 months, but the pain never seemed to go away. It felt really weak and sore even if i carried my purse. After going gluten-free believe it or not about a month later....no more pain. i had it for over 3 years, then boom, gluten-free and no pain.... -

So the good news, all my food allergy tests are negative (via scratch test)!! yay Bad news I have one of the worse reactions to dust mites my allergist has ever seen!! and hes the chief of allergy at the Hospital and hes 78! second to that was house dust and cats. No outdoor allergies though... Do you have any enviormental allergies? -

I have been to one wedding since my DX, not the best experience. The bride was family, and there were 3 celiacs at the reception including myself. The bride said to note it on the card that we needed gluten-free meals. Now thinking that it was going to be at a Westin Hotel it might be ok. WELL i was wrong. When you say all the allergy tests do you mean scratch and blood tests? Did you figure out the intolerances through a food diary? I would love to eat shrimp again, but after my 1st test 2 years ago i stopped b/c i had a slight reaction, now i had none. And i used to eat it all the time. my allergist says he feels comfortable if i were to eat it again, yah... -
