  1. Have you tried Bard's? I hear it's much better than Redbridge and New Grist.
  2. I used to dip clear chap stick into my Bare Minerals and put it on my lips that way. Maybe you can do the same thing with the Everyday Minerals lip gloss and dry colors (?)
  3. I know I was overwhelmed by it too LOL, but I ordered one foundation in matte, one semi-matte and one intensive. It was pretty obvious right away that I liked intensive the best. I ordered the same foundation colors as you Julie. Cool multi-tasking neutral seems to be a good match for me. I should have warned everyone the blush is really dark...
  4. I hear if you email them a picture of yourself with no make-up in natural lighting, they're good at picking colors for you (don't know if that's true though - just something I read somewhere else online).
  5. So far I've been using my BE brushes with the samples, and it's working fine. If you don't want to buy new brushes you'll probably be fine with the ones you have. I might buy some EM brushes soon though, so I'll let you know if it makes a difference. I have a question though, what do you use to clean your BE brushes? I know I should be their...
  6. I can't speak for cruelshoes, but I say "I've already posted this" sometimes when I'm about to repeat information I've already posted, and it never occured to me that someone might feel attacked as a result. I just do it so people don't think I'm purposely bombarding the board with the same info. over and over. Okay back to the thread..... Last night...
  7. So here's tip #1 for those of you who need a bit more coverage: You can wear the make-up wet or dry. When the concealer is wet it provides really good coverage.
  8. Oh good...I ordered the silk powder . I also ordered the pink finishing powder, which seems kind of strange, but I was persuaded by their description of it
  9. Jojoba oil would be a good one too. It's really neutral and fragrance-free.
  10. I could be wrong, but I don't think an oil would contain a protein. Massage can stir up toxins in the body though, and the detox effect can make you sick.
  11. The thing I like about Everyday, is they have different versions of the foundation. There's matte, semi-matt, intensive, glo...and something else I think. You can chose the best version for your skin type. The intensive version covers my acne scaring much better than Bare Minerals. The matte is nice too but a little too powdery for me and does not cover...
  12. If you don't mind small wraps, I like Food for Life sprouted corn tortillas. If you heat them first, then wrap in tin foil after you wrap them, they stay good to eat until lunch.
  13. I know and they're only a few bucks each What brand of mineral make-up do you use, Patti?
  14. I think it's easy to use, but I've been using mineral make-up for a while. The trick is to buff it into your skin (rather than brushing it on, if that makes sense). I'd rather not buy it off the web, but they send you three foundation samples for free, and one of the colors I picked worked great (which is weird, b/c it's usually really hard for me...
  15. I've been to some of those places and I don't think you'll have a problem (I'm soy, dairy and gluten-free, and not vegan, but I eat like a vegan most of the time when I travel). I can come back and give you a list of restaurants where you can get vegan, gluten-free food (I know Sydney the best, but also know of some places in Melbourne and Cairns), if that...
  16. www.everydayminerals.com Someone on this board recommended it to me like a year ago, and a I just I finally got around to ordering the free samples of foundation, blush and concealer last week. I really like it So anyway, I just kind of went crazy, and ordered a foundation, three different concealers, two finishing powders, two blushes, lipgloss...
  17. I posted this on another thread, but if you're interested in this issue, you might want to check out "The Omnivore's Dillema" by Michael Pollan. It will give you a lot of insight and equip you with knowledge to make better choices and do something about the problem.
  18. I think wowzer was just trying to say it was kind of funny and ironic, not that s/he had a problem with the recipe being there
  19. That woman wrote a really great story about her son's allergies. I was reading through the comments, and some people are already offended by the notion of children in the class having to go without peanut butter for a few hours each day
  20. Does the company process flavors that are not gluten-free (first see if you can find that out - maybe on the company website)? If they do, your best bet is to call the company. Ask them if they process the flavor you want on dedicated gluten-free lines. If not, ask them about their policies regarding cleaning shared equipment in between batches.
  21. If those are the only ingredients then yes, the chips (crisps lol) are gluten and dairy-free.
  22. It's called Ricera. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's chunky and gross. Just depends on which batch you get I guess. Some people make yogurt out of coconut milk. I've never done it though.
  23. It's just soy lecithin though I think. That's okay for some ppl with soy problems.
  24. You don't need to spend huge amounts of time on each meal, you just need to be willing to set aside 20 minutes or so each day for preparing food. For example, take some good pre-made chicken or veggie broth (maybe Imagine or Pacific)....pour a couple containers of it in a big pot along with some chopped up veggies and dry green lentils. Boil. Put...
