  1. Hi Thanks for your reply. It's the tTg that's raised. That was the only one they checked. Isn't that just relevant to coeliacs? I do have autoimmune hypothyroidism as well.
  2. Hi all I'm trying to get to the bottom of the cause of my remainig symptoms, which is difficult as I have other health conditions as well as coeliacs. My last endoscopy showed that my villi are completely healed, but my antibodies are still slightly raised. I'm obviously getting some tiny amount of cross contamination somewhere but not enough to damage...
  3. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

Hi there! I'm the same with fruit juices or cordials and tend to drink just water, but I could also do with more calories, so I know a bit about where you're coming from. Can your son tolerate fruit at all? If so, you could try making a smoothie with rice milk and a bit of fruit. Alternatively, how is he with veggies? Could you try veggie juices...
  5. Thanks Jin! DS was desperate to have a brother, but as soon as he knew it was a sister, he was very excited. He thinks all the pink stuff that's descending on us is very cute! He has told all his class at school in great detail about his baby sister He's very amused about the size of my tummy as well
  6. OK, it's not very easy to see, but she's there now <<proud mummy grins>>
  7. Hi Jin I've just been trying to update my avatar with a scan photo, but it doesn't seem to be appearing on my posts, even though it's in my controls. Hmmm...will try to oblige when I can work out what's going on! Susie
  8. I finished work last Friday. I think I'd been feeling tired for sometime, but clearly the adrenaline of working and of the prospect of finishing work was keeping me going. I've rested more this week, but have been doing some stuff for DH's business. Some pretty stressful stuff was going on with the business last week, which is almost resolved now, but...
  9. Hi Andrea, good to see you too I'm 28 weeks pregnant as of today (yay!!) and feeling totally exhausted. I think I need to speak to Dr P about the whole adrenal fatigue thing again...and work out how I can actually absorb some iron, which I seem poor at doing and which mustn't be helping. Did I tell you guys that I'm having a girl? Sx
  10. Hi all It's interesting about the foot pads. I used them earlier this year. I didn't use a full course, because I felt they were working too well! I used them at night and my sleep was really disturbed, so I thought they must be pulling something out of me. Who knows...they did look disgusting and, yes, they did get a little cleaner each successive...
  11. Thanks for the replies With the weight thing, I'm speaking from my experience of doing the candida diet, although I appreciate the SCD is not the same, it's fairly similar. When I've done that, I've truly eaten masses, despite the extra work involved in prep, but have still lost weight. I'll have to give it some thought. I've obviously got some absorption...
  12. Hi Ali I'm not on the SCD coz I know I would lose weight doing it (I'm borderline underweight usually) and that would not be good being pregnant. However, I do want to clean my diet up as much as practicable in the circumstances and would lean towards a modified version of the SCD if poss. I note that you said a page or so back that you get a pounding...
  13. Hi Ali What probiotics do you use then? As I'm in the UK too I should be able to get hold of the same type as you use. I'm 27 weeks pregnant and my digestive issues flare up really badly during pregnancy. I feel in need of some probiotics! I have been eating goat's yoghurt and am not sure what's in that. I've skimmed this thread with great interest...
  14. April, does she suggest in the book what the easiest to digest foods are?
  15. Thanks for everyone's best wishes and the PMs I've been in bed with flu the past couple of days, so haven't been around to post again. Carla, it's incredible what you're having to go through because of a moldy mattress I'm glad you've found out and hope you feel much better really soon - hopefully this is a big bit in the jigsaw for you. It...
  16. PS what does the 'warn' thing that has appeared next to my post mean?
  17. Hi all! I know I haven't posted in months and months, but thought I'd just pop by to say hi and update you a bit on me. Earlier in the year, Dr Peatfield was treating my thyroid and adrenal fatigue and candida, and I started feeling great. People even noticed just from looking at me how much healthier I was I was also using natural progeterone...
  18. Hi Paula How are you surviving? I've been thinking of you and tried to pm you, but I guess others are worried too judging by your inbox being full I really hope things get back to normal for you soon. I can't begin to imagine what a nightmare you must be having, especially with the kids to look after. Take care Susie
  19. Depression and anxiety have definitely been symptoms for me, but not just of coeliacs - underactive thyroid too. I think you should definitely have your thyroid checked if you haven't already, especially as hair loss is a major symptom there.
  20. OMgosh Paula, you wicked girl!! Whilst we're confessing, I fell off the wagon yesterday too...well, more like jumped I had corn pasta and cheese, and then a hot cross bun. I wasn't as fortunate as you. I was really itchy all night, slept badly and my nasal allergies started playing up (they have been much better since being on the diet). I've not had...
  21. Hmm, interesting question Ken. Antibiotics are not the same thing as chlorine, but I do wonder as to its effect myself, as my stomach feels dodgy after swimming. Antibiotics posing another question. I've been on the anti-candida regime for just over a month, and last week got a nasty UTI which needed antibiotics. I've been taking more probiotics, but...
  22. Hi Chris Yes it is Dr Barry Peatfield. He was a GP so is a fully qualified medical doctor and also has nutritional qualifications. He left the NHS as his nutritional methods of treatment were so frowned upon He has quite long waiting lists, so it is probably only worth hanging on to see him if you think you might have thyroid/ adrenal issues, which...
  23. Hi Chris You're right, whenever I've tried to speak to anyone on the NHS about systemic candida, they pretty much say you've got to be dying before that's a possibility. I'm seeing Dr Peatfield privately. He specialises in metabolic disorders. I went to see him primarily about thyroid and adrenal issues and he did a saliva test for candida via IWDL, which...
  24. I will have to try making a tea tree mouth wash. Feeling really rough with this cystitis and the abx at the mo, so won't be doing any anti-fungals for the next few days, coz I can't deal with die-off too. Dr P said to increase my probiotics. He doesn't want to do anything to change my adrenal regime for a couple more weeks, especially as the cystits is effecting...
  25. Hello! I live near Bournville in the UK where cadbury's first factory is Sadly, most of their chocoalte bars do now say on them that they may contain traces of wheat, soya and nuts. I actually think they are being more responsible than many other firms in labelling their products like this, as I suspect that the chances of cc in chocolate production are...
