I was also over weight and believe that was part of why I did not get a DX for so long. I have lost 40 pounds since going gluten free. Not everyone is skinny from it.

I use to have lots of binges before gluten free. Now I find I do not want nearly as much to eat or that I want to eat as often. If I do mess up and get some gluten it seems to set me off again and then I go on binges again. I believe the gluten was making me want more food and not the right kinds of foods.

HI, I do not know where you are or the time there. If he is anything like mine he called me very late in the day after his office hours were over. Said that is when he makes those kinds of calls. So hopefully you will here from him today. If not how far is his office from you? I would just take a ride to his office and tell them you need a copy right away...

i have noticed a difference also, but had not thought of it being because of the gluten.

that is what happened with mine and i had to wake 4 days for the doctor to come back from his vacation. she would not tell me anything. my biopsy did not show anything, but was told that it happens that was sometimes if they do not do biopsy in a place where there is damage. have any of you been told that about the biopsy??

I called kraft and they are mailing me a list of all of ther gluten free products. Thought some of you might like to do the same. I had found kraftcanada gluten free list of foods online but was told on the phone what is made for canada is different from what is made in the states and some on that list are not gluten free in the states.

Do not know if this will help, but I was going nuts with itching a couple months ago. Went to the doctor and had an exam. Was told that I did have a bad yeast infection that was causing the itching. Get a letter from your doctor. Take it to the head of your school and get the ok for your food to be kept there. Then post a copy of the letter on the door of the so called ice box. I did that once when my one son had a problem that kept him from eating the school lunches. After that no one ever said anything to him for going into the teacher dinning room...

I use to take a banana mash it up with a tiny bit of sugar and put that on my toast. What we have been doing to ourselves for years is something when you stop and think about it. All the so called comfort foods are gone for me it seems.

I am also seeing my PC doctor every 3 months for check up. My GI doctor told me he would do a follow up once a year, but to be sure and call and come back before then if I felt I need to for any reason.
