    My PC doctor is wanting me to have some allergy test since I am having alot of allergy problems. Went for the first appointment at allergy clinic and I was telling them about the gluten thing.     I was also over weight and believe that was part of why I did not get a DX for so long. I have lost 40 pounds since going gluten free. Not everyone is skinny from it.

    I use to have lots of binges before gluten free. Now I find I do not want nearly as much to eat or that I want to eat as often. If I do mess up and get some gluten it seems to set me off again and then I go on binges again. I believe the gluten was making me want more food and not the right kinds of foods.

    HI, I do not know where you are or the time there. If he is anything like mine he called me very late in the day after his office hours were over. Said that is when he makes those kinds of calls. So hopefully you will here from him today. If not how far is his office from you? I would just take a ride to his office and tell them you need a copy right away...

    I GET ALOT OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, BUT FOR ME I THINK IF I GET SOME GLUTEN IT SETS OFF SOME KIND OF CRAVING WHERE I WANT MORE AND MORE TO EAT.     that is what happened with mine and i had to wake 4 days for the doctor to come back from his vacation. she would not tell me anything. my biopsy did not show anything, but was told that it happens that was sometimes if they do not do biopsy in a place where there is damage. have any of you been told that about the biopsy??

    I called kraft and they are mailing me a list of all of ther gluten free products. Thought some of you might like to do the same. I had found kraftcanada gluten free list of foods online but was told on the phone what is made for canada is different from what is made in the states and some on that list are not gluten free in the states.

    Do not know if this will help, but I was going nuts with itching a couple months ago. Went to the doctor and had an exam. Was told that I did have a bad yeast infection that was causing the itching. Was told the infection was up high enough that is why I had not seen any of the normal kind of discharge with most yeast infestions. Was given that awful cream...

    Get a letter from your doctor. Take it to the head of your school and get the ok for your food to be kept there. Then post a copy of the letter on the door of the so called ice box. I did that once when my one son had a problem that kept him from eating the school lunches. After that no one ever said anything to him for going into the teacher dinning room...

    I use to take a banana mash it up with a tiny bit of sugar and put that on my toast. What we have been doing to ourselves for years is something when you stop and think about it. All the so called comfort foods are gone for me it seems.

    I am also seeing my PC doctor every 3 months for check up. My GI doctor told me he would do a follow up once a year, but to be sure and call and come back before then if I felt I need to for any reason.

    Jen Thanks for posting the drug list. I had been searching for something like that. Was glad to see that all of my meds are on the list.

    IS A YEAST INFECTION RELATED TO CELIAC?? I HAVE HAD A FEW LATELY, BUT HAD NOT THOUGHT OF A CONNECTION WITH GLUTEN. I HAVE BEEN USING THE OVER THE COUNTER STUFF FROM THE DRUG STORE.

    I called the Hormel Company today to find out about one of their products. I found out that if you go to www.hormel.com then go down to the bottom of the page on the left hand side to FAQ you can find a long list of everything they make that is gluten free. There is alot that they have. Thought this might be of help to some in here.

    I had an endoscopy with a biopsy also. It did not show celiac. My GI doctor said that did happen even if you have it. That if they do not do the biopsy in a place that was messed up. I guess that is possible since they just take it from a small place and not all the intestines. He feels that is what I have even if not a positvie biopsy.

    I will just add this, sometimes if having a reaction to medicine it can take weeks to get out of your system. I had a reaction ( hives ) from a water pill I was given. I thought I would go nuts and did scratch at times that I would bleed, did this in my sleep at times. It took over 4 weeks for it to completely stop.

    Hi again, I had tried to get rid of some of my weight but never had much luck doing so until this gluten problem was found. Like some have said it has just come off now without my really doing anything but staying away from gluten which is making me eat in a healtier way. So something good is coming from having this problem.

    That was one of my problems, was 197 and 171 and it has been coming down fast for me. But do see a real stand still if I mess up and eat some gluten.

    To tell the truth there has been a few times when fixing mac & cheese for the family I have taken a small taste. I keep forgetting to use a different spoon when I stir things while cooking.     Coke has gluten in it, they can say gluten free if the % is low enough. I called them and that is what they told me.

    I am having a problem also, I seem to get a few of the email notifications but not all that I should.

    I think you should find out if you have it or not. I guess you could just go gluten free and see how you feel after a while. As for insurance I am not sure, but I do not think it would.
