  1. Oh Patti, I was all out of it, the first thing after I clock in every morning is jump on the board. Not only did I fall asleep early last night (9:45) watching TV and Lucky didn't help since he was curled up next to me....so I didn't get on the board much last night. Now this morning our net is down...Sheesh! But beyond getting on the board, there are...
  2. My gosh sillies I was going into withdrawl....the net at work has been down all morning...I couldn't even say good morning to you all!!
  3. It's ok Susie, what you said wasn't that bad...we aren't judgemental in Sillyville!
  4. 16 candles and The Breakfast Club are also good 80's movies.
  5. I would like to also vote for 10 things I hate about you! Very funny movie.
  6. Thanks for the info guys, sometimes when he gets sick we wonder....I guess you always do after being that sick.
  7. Here's another tidbit of info, John recently quit smoking (cold turkey) yes the boy was dumb and did start smoking after cancer...I always yelled about that but...the girl next to me also quit smoking in the spring and she says since then she catches all the little colds and things she never usually had.
  8. John had a germ cell tumor which is a form of testicular cancer but his tumor never made it down to that region. instead he had a grapefruit sized tumor around his lungs and heart. He did 6-months of high dose chemo and then had surgery to remove the tumor. They wanted to kill the tumor and then remove it so there would not be the chance the cancer cells...
  9. I believe we are stopping at the store tonight. I have decided to make stuffed shells this weekend when we get back from my parents. I want to pick up the stuff early.
  10. Nikki- he has always wanted to travel across the pond...I will ask
  11. Funny, grocery stores never meant too much to me until I needed to shop for special food...Now I huntout the good stores.
  12. You really do not need to go and get the tests every year. Some members on here do, others don't. It comes down to personal choice really. As long as you are seeing an improvement in your health since going gluten-free, that is evidence enough for some people. I never got retested and it has been a few years now. Hope that helps a little.
  13. At one point before I got diagnosed I was in the ER with what they said was severe gastrtitis....Man was I in pain, I was hunched over....I thought I was going to die too. It was very scary.
  14. Actually, I didn't meet John until about a year and a few months after he got better. We met at the hospital where we both work. He took a job in the lab where I worked. He was on 3rd shift for a long time and eventually went to 2nd shift. That was the shift I worked. We got to know each other and he asked me out on a date. We went to a bar and then went...
  15. Supposedly there is one about that same distance from my mom's too. When I was little we had a Shop Rite close by and it was dirty and eventually went out of business. It wasn't until we went to the shore the first year, that I had been in another. It seems they are redoing their stores and they are nice now. Good example of a chain store picking themselves...
  16. I too suggest the elimination diet. This way you can pinpoint exactly what is the problem instead of continuing to suffer.
  17. I love Shop-Rite, I only get there when we are at the shore but I like that store
  18. John's immune system has not been the same since he had cancer 5 years ago, since that time he has gotten broncitis (sorry my spelling is so bad) Due to the low immune system he was unable to get a flu shot. As for celiac, I am not sure if that would be his problem...besides his last month or so of sickness, he doesn't have any of them symptoms, no GI, no...
  19. Another one which was neat and timeless for us Labyrinth with David Bowie. Fantasy like movie with the gnomes and gremlins but timeless. We also like the Adam Sandler movies for a good laugh....I think I laugh the most at Big Daddy. It is my favorite Adam Sandler movie. I watched Spanglish....but it was hard to see Adam Sandler not being funny. Good...
  20. So here is my personal Silly moment of the day. I just walked down the hall to use the bathroom...I checked the mirror, go wash my hands, and then had to walk back to the stall because I could not remember if I flushed the toliet....yikes!
  21. Russia has changed for the better since you were there in 98' if I am not mistaken. The economy has gotten better. I saw on CNN where they got their first IKEA and there are sidewalk cafes.
  22. I have problems falling asleep now...I think having all that darkness would confuse my body. John is sick again too....he gets better than 2 weeks later he is ill again. This time it is with a sore throat (which he says is bad) and he is tired.
  23. I really like the taco bar idea! I would be at your party in a heart beat
  24. I know I never had good success with delicate foods when coming from Glutino, cookies and crackers always arrived a little beat up even if they appeared to be packed well.
