LYNNIE - SOS - just read this on the "good research paper on the neurological manisfestations" etc. - - Hopefully someone will be able to answer the Purkinje question because I don't know the answer to that. ...on those perkinje cells in the brain - - I think your help is needed on that thread! Lynnie this T-shirt, while extremely appropriate, implies that there will be legions of visitors to R-ville....is this so? I mean, I KNOW they'll WANT to visit us, and paparazzi will be harassing us (the cops will come in handy here)....but, how will we handle this? I think they must all stay on busses and not be allowed out, you know, to mingle....unless... -
ARCHIVED Do You Have Dry, Painful, Cracked Heels?
DingoGirl replied to azmom3's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
HOly cow, one more thing we have to add to the list, as women...you know, shaving, waxing, hair and makeup, dyeing, moisturizing, exfoliating, plucking, bleaching, self-tanning...... and now, BLOW-DRYING OUR FEET -

hey, here's what I've heard a couple of men say over the years: even a (wo)man on a diet can look at the menu..... Because, as you know, these cops are going to be super-humanly perfect specimens, just there for looks and flirting, really, not law enforcment.... -
ARCHIVED What About The Eucharist?
DingoGirl replied to Lymetoo's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I was pondering this thread, and church tomorrow......and Bernice, we all know, of course, about freedom of speech.....what we don't appreciate is freedom to attack. This thread began as an honest and sincere discussion of the Eucharist, a searching for suggestions and coping, and you have come in to attack, and interject what amounts to mockery, really... -

The dingos are unconscious, we went to the back-country part of our beautiful park here, toward the river, and the squirrels.....OMG just a proliferation of squirrels today......so good news, they are not staring at me and I can get some things done..... Carla, I've read your kind and thoughtful posts on the Communion thread (which unfotunately one... -

Yes, the dingos are pacing and mommy is sucked into her vortex again... Lauren is our friend from Monterey who has co-written two books with my older dog. She is only 27, lives in Fresno now, and is like my little sister. Not Celiac or on this forum, and too bad because she is so much fun! Rachel - I have discovered a wondrous and highly addicting... -

Bernice, clearly you have had a most tragic life experience with the CAtholic church....I believe Jesus himself weeps over the condition of your childhood parish, and I'm glad it's closed. It's so, so sad that many Catholics did in fact grow up in those conditions.... (totally off-topic of the Host and gluten...forgive me!) -

Oh dear Lord, that is unbelievably sad.... Fiddle-FAddle, profound and very well-written thoughts. I guess I can only add.....and I am a Believer who's wrestled with GREAT periods of doubt - - I never doubt God's existence, wisdom, and benevolence any more, but did for many years....There are volumes written about bad things that happen and the existence... -

hold on for this - a shocker - I read EVERY WORD of EVERY SINGLE PERSON"S scientific posts. That's right! HOw will I keep up if I don't? not that I ever remotely retain all of it, and soemtimes I read through them ever-so-quickly, but yes, I do read them all! But will still flunk the science test when it's given - (remember, I'm part of the....what... -

Lisa - how did I miss this? I'm an expert on tapering off.....it takes more than weeks, can take a couple of MONTHs.....how are you now? I skipped some posts as I am wont to do.....but the tapering off is more like.....10 mg. for however long, then 5 mg. for 2 to 3 weeks, DAILY, then 5 mg. every other day for about 2 weeks, then every third day for two... -

Morning all...... Rachel......rock climbing, fantastic! AT the indoor gym you shouldn't get TOO banged up, but who knows. Even as a veteran I have knocked into the wall pretty hard at times...which of course I love because there will be a most excellent bruise and scrape.....good times! Remember, use your LEGS to push off more than your ARMS to... -
HI Taz, I was severely anemic too, took iron supplements twice a day and I think I'm cured. I do eat meat, but only perhaps 2 or 3 times a month. I have read in teh past - and this will need to be confirmed by one of our more science-minded members here, that the oxalic acid in spinach binds to the iron, making it less absorbtive. OF course, I can't verify...
