  1. Sandy, A big sigh of relief. Have fun camping!
  2. Julie, I'm not surprised. I'm assuming that mercury will also be a situation with you.
  3. Donna, Your picture is always a bright spot. It just makes me smile right back. Good to see you. Richard, I see you sneaking around here.
  4. Rhonda, I don't have to leave home to have shops be dangerous. I just need to look at my favorite ebay seller's offerings.......my custom breyers. Miamia, I see you. Have you got your test results back?
  5. Hey Susan! Good to see you!! I see you Rhonda. Are you back from saunaing?
  6. Rachel and Carla, You bring up very good points. I'm looking at the dq1 and it's notorious label of being the neurological gene primarily. So, if some with dq1 have had symptoms resolve going gluten free then what do we make of that? This is all very interesting. Although my family all have celiac genes, no one had a positive ttg level. We did...
  7. Happy Birthday Elonwy!
  8. Welcome ARK! The gene test will tell you whether he has celiac genes, gluten intolerant genes or both. I would assume he has celiac genes (or one anyway) if it runs in the family. If he doesn't have the known celiac genes he could still be gluten sensitive (as enterolab states it). Sounds like he would benefit from gluten free as well as the rest...
  9. Oh wow! Sorry for the brainfog you two. (Carla and Rhonda) Rhonda, enjoy your sauna. Both of you take it easy, we'll be here when you have the energy and feel better. Rachel, Can you save up sick time or vacation time to have some time off when you start through your lyme treatment? This herxing sounds wicked (for lack of thinking of a...
  10. Everybody seems to be in agreement here. Rachel would be great and Julie you hit it on the head. Rachel, you have your new vocation. Now to come up with the money and what's required for learning it. It's so quiet in here this morning you could here a pin drop....(except me, my hearing's bad).....usually I don't get caught up this quickly...
  11. If he constantly has a runny nose/sinus troubles than I would tend to think he is mildly allergic to something. I get the same thing if I eat dairy. Have you had ELISA allergy/intolerance (IgE/IgG) tests run on him? With the enterolab results he would still need to be gluten free for life though and maybe his allergy is also to gluten or wheat. I am...
  12. Wow Rachel! I'm really fascinated with your treatment as well and am thankful you take the time to post about it. Interesting about the coconut. Maybe the first bioset lady will be back to doing your treatmenst when it comes to the chemicals. I'll be anxiously awaiting Tuesday's results with the b-12 test.
  13. Congratulations! Thanks so much for posting about little Samantha. If you ever get a chance to post a picture I'd love to see her.
  14. Enterolab can only diagnose gluten sensitivity. Did you have the gene testing done? According to enterolab he would still need to be gluten free for life and has just scored positive for an autoimmune reaction. It's a good thing that he doesn't have malabsorption but I don't know that you'd be able to say someone had didn't have celiac if they didn't...
  15. Here is an excerpt from an email response I got earlier. Don't know if that helps any or not.
  16. I can only see how that would benefit you. No drawbacks there. Hopefully you'll be able to get in in March.
  17. I have to agree there.
  18. I had been very gluten lite for 1 1/2 months and had read that bloodwork wouldn't be accurate at that point. I tested on the low end with enterolab so I'm wondering if I would have even tested positive through bloodwork. I did find out I have a celiac gene though.
  19. Not a bad idea. You'd definately know what it feels like to be in the other persons shoes. I would think it would require lots of schooling, but I'm not sure. Keep us posted, as usual.
  20. We'll be waiting along with you for your results. I hope you do ok with the candida treatment.
  21. I would be too.
  22. Miamia, I see you. Did you get your results today?
  23. Hm, sounds interesting. So you may have eos of the stomach. Am I reading correctly that this would be the first layer......so will hopefully heal faster? That stinks that they wouldn't let your mom in. I'm sure they have their reasons but sheesh.
  24. Have you tried the elimination diet? Eliminate all foods except a few (rice, chicken, apple/pear and a veggie). After 3 weeks reintroduce one thing a week and make sure to keep a food journal to note any possible reactions. They can take anywhere from a few hours to couple days. I don't really have any ideas but I invite you over to the OMG thread...
  25. Maybe you could try something like peeled apples and pears and see how you do. You may need to go down to a very basic diet for 3 weeks and then start adding in one food a week to see how you do. Are you sure there isn't any hidden gluten? Have you checked personal care products, etc. Is your household gluten free?
