  1. Your son would have one gluten sensitive gene anyway. Depends on whether his father has a celiac gene or not. It's really up to you on whether you want to remove gluten from his diet as well. In my family my husband was the only one without an active sensitivity and he has 2 celiac genes. He went gluten free with the rest of us anyway.
  2. Patti, Just went back and saw your new pic. Lovely.
  3. Carla, With you having ticks burned by your stepfather (is that right) as a child, I would have a hard to believing you didn't have lyme. I know, not all ticks carry lyme. I just can't believe emotional baggage, if you will, would continue to cause this much of a problem, especially if you've dealt with a lot of it. Rinne, I'd also be surprised...

    ARCHIVED Dr. Mercola

I like most of his stuff. Loraleena, I don't eat organ meats either and will not start. I eat beef, chicken, turkey and salmon. I am also not into raw eggs so will continue eating those cooked.
  5. We're hanging in there Patti. Only 1 1/2 weeks until we go. Hopefully the time will go quickly. Oh, what fun. Hope you get some breathing room. Only 1 hour to go!!
  6. Hi Julie!!!!! Missed you yesterday. Glad you're back. Yes, we are all on different, but similar paths as far as our health. We have had to modify our lives to fit the new health demands. But, we will come out ahead and for the better. Don't despair. The sun is always behind the clouds.....sometimes it just takes longer to find...
  7. Have you had blood work done? The main celiac genes are responsible for over 90% of celiac diagnoses but some "non-celiac" genes cause celiac disease as well. There is a wide range of gluten sensitivity and damage that can be done. If you feel better off of gluten, then don't eat it.....unless you want an official diagnosis.
  8. I know Mercola is known to be on the more radical side. But what about his statement that most people do better not eating whole grains. Has anyone looked at dogtor j's stuff. He's kinda along the lines of Mercola but doesn't advocate gluten/dairy/soy and very limited corn. Open Original Shared Link. A lot of his stuff make sense, although I haven...
  9. Thanks for posting this Linda. Interesting.
  10. Yep, that's the way I'm reading it. I am no math whiz but I did enjoy it (except geometry). Numbers where my job......accounting/receivables/payables. I would think it's very positivie too. A girl can always hope. If there is no hope, there isn't much to life. Hugs Richard. Hope this doesn't have you down long. Have a...
  11. If you are not soy intolerant you can have it. I stay away from it myself. Some people who are soy intolerant can handle soy lecithin though.
  12. Hi back to you. Come visit more. Missed you too Miamia The way I'm reading these is by the second number. If it's under 40 it's negative, between 40-80 indeterminate, and over 80 positive. I would think it would be just plain 16 if it was negative. 1:160>1:80 Hi Morgan. Good to see you and I also love your new avatar...
  13. Thanks so much for another update Judy and Shirley. Evie, We love you and look forward to you coming home. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
  14. Susan, Alison and Bev said it so well.
  15. Susan, Smiles and hugs for you. Maybe you're out with the dogs now. We are in for more rain this week. What's new for Washington huh? Carla, Excited for the first part of your lyme diagnosis process tomorrow. One more piece of the puzzle. Hi everyone else!!!!
  16. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr......how dare he! You bitter? Never. No, of course not. It's on the arm. I think it got damaged shoving it through a smidgen to small doorway moving in. Scissors are so much fun to play with. Nighty night. We've got pictures tomorrow morning so you guys may not see me until the afternoon.
  17. Thanks Judy.....I posted on the Evie thread. Rachel, It's sad that we've been programmed through hidden taste enhancers to poison ourselves. That is really the long and short of it. It angers me that msg is hidden in so much.
  18. Thank you so much for the update Judy. We will continue to keep Evie in our prayers. Evie we miss you and love you. We'll be here when you get home.
  19. Laura, Love the pic of your nieces.
  20. I love flannel sheets too. I don't know where my mom got the ones I have. They were a Christmas gift one year. My daughter cut into one of the pillow cases with her scissors. That was around the same time she cut a new shirt of her younger brother. My oldest son decided it would be fun to cut the fabric of the couch. There was a snag that...
  21. Thanks Bev. Dad called and he's ok with everyone going down. I will try and see if I can get some computer time during his rests so I can keep you guys updated (and not get so far behind)
  22. I hope she's home.
  23. Thanks for your prayers Lindalee. My dad called and said that he does want the kids to come down....so it's settled. There is a park with a zoo in it nearby them that Mitch will be able to take the older 2 too. Looks like I missed the party. Where's Evie?
  24. Here, Here. I couldn't agree more. I have opinions I'd like to collect. My daughter inparticular really wants to go see my dad. My oldest son says he does. I wouln't mind Hubby being there. My dad doesn't have the energy to deal with noisy, rambunctious kids. He did voice his concerns about the dog and their possible treatment of him. He's...
