ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I'm a hugger so I would have wanted to. That's the only reason I wouldn't. When you don't know if people are huggers you don't want to make them uncomfortable. My 4h leader hated hugs. My new neighbor brought his mother over to meet us last month. He's around retirement age so I imagine she's in her 80's anyway. I went to shake her hand and... -

Ugh! At least you feel lots better than you did last year, or even earlier this year! I hope you still are able to enjoy your Christmas. Yay on making the bed! That is definately a good sign, plus making your own meals! If your immune system can't handle it, the lyme can take over. That's one thing Rachel has been told. She's addressing... -
ARCHIVED Chicken Boullion (powder Or Paste) Free Of Corn/soy/gluten?
AndreaB replied to cruelshoes's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I'm not sure of the difference. The nutritional yeast is flaked. I haven't seen yeast extract. It's just on the truthinlabeling site as a hidden form of msg due to the processing proceedures. Thanks for clearing up the mace. -

That is exciting! Figured you two would meet up some time having alot of the same doctors. I'm happy to hear that your flare/herx is over. Let us know how the med schedule works. Do you think the massage thing you did was just too much? I'm glad you were able to check in Mia. Sounds like the humaworm has done pretty well with... -

I'm not sure what the mace is. Other than that it looks ok. The yeast extract is a hidden form of msg if that is something that you are concerned with. -

That's why Carla and Rachel were on the dairy so heavy. To try and keep weight up. What about adding coconut milk to your smoothie, liquid fair. That might be enough to give you a caloric boost. Have you started any meds yet? Hang in there! It will get worse before it gets better, but it will get better. Just look at the progress Carla and... -

If you want to see what the bands look like you could. How long ago did you do the celiac disease-57 test? -

Oh Kassandra! I'm so sorry. I don't know what to tell you. I know that deep breathing can be difficult with lyme but since I don't have it I can't advise you of anything. -

I definately wouldn't want to do that! Mold could also be wrecking havoc with you two. Let us know about your appointment when you get it scheduled. -

I'd have a urine challenge done by someone who treats mercury toxicity. If the hair analysis is high it would mean that you are excreting it, but you need the challenge for a more complete picture. -
Well I make a lot of macaroni and cheese for a family of 5 and leftovers. Cashews are high in fat so it may not work for you. One recipe uses 2 cups and another uses 1/4 or 1/2 cup. I usually combine them but the one with fewer cashews may work if you have cheese to melt in with it.

Sherry, I sent a pm, in case you didn't get notification. -
We use cashews to make a cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese. I can direct you do the recipe thread I started if you are interested in going that route.

Nyxie, We charged everything. We don't have good insurance....actually hubby and I canceled ours. We have state assisted insurance. If we had better insurance some of what we had done may have been covered, but probably not much. -
ARCHIVED Is This A Sign Of Candida?
AndreaB replied to holdthegluten's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Hold the gluten, I've read various of your posts over the course of you being on board. I'd highly recommend seeing a good LLMD and being tested through Igenex for lyme as well as other testing that LLMD's do. Lyme does cause what you are feeling. -

I do have recipes for chicken style seasoning that are vegan. They don't taste like chicken but they may work. I have not tried this recipe. It's from Guilt Free Gourmet by Vicki Griffin. Chick-it Seasoning Blend: 1/4 c salt 1/2 c nutritional yeast flakes 1/4-1/2 tsp turmeric 1/2-1 tsp garlic powder 1 Tb onion powder 1/2 tsp marjoram 1/2 tsp... -

Try to stay as natural as possible with your foods and buy organic if you can. Give yourself at least 6 monts - 1 year to heal. If you find you still have a lot of intolerances you'll need to do some further digging. We didn't have damage, that we know of, so we knew our food intolerances were due to something else. How do you do with pears? ... -

Donna already answered this for you. You are not a hypochondriac! 22nd and 25th are the only bad days. If you want to meet up with hubby too it would have to be 23rd, 24th or the following long weekend. I'm thinking you were staying til around the 29th though right? Rain! You are getting rain. I always picture CA as having blue... -

That's the way I understand it. You got it right Donna, from the sounds of it. LED does in 25 hours what it would take up to 90 days to do with supplementation. It's more expensive in the short run, but more cost efficient in the long run. Another reason I'm not happy we can't afford more right now. We've got to go the supplementation route... -

Kassandra, Sorry about the food reation......no fun at all. Good news on the Zithro and epi-pen.....still sounds expensive though. I'll defer to the more experienced ones on your other questions. -

ASYRA is different than what you had. No probes are touched to your body. Just holding the metal (they aren't rods, much thicker) in your hands. They do vibrate a little with the current from the computer. Nothing is put on the computer to test your response. It's all done by frequencies of items and covers everything under the sun in a matter of minutes...
