  1. I hope your back feels better by tomorrow for your trip home. That's awful. Congrats on holding your own for the 4 day regime! I would think the humaworm is killing off stuff and causing the flare ups. I guess that's a good and a bad thing at the same time. You see Doc S in 1 1/2 weeks so maybe he'll have an answer and be able...
  2. Woo Hoo indeed!
  3. Woo Hoo! Only 2 more months! Ooooohhhhh, that sounds good! I've copied it over. We'll make sure a day works out.
  4. Julie, I buy King Chlorella with Russian Immune Support online from Holistic Physician. It is $22.75 a bottle of 600 tablets of which for just me would last about 1 1/2 months. Dr. E has me taking 15 a day. Boy, it keeps getting better and better with your insurance company doesn't it. Good for the nurse for letting them have it. Sheesh...
  5. 1 year already! That's great!
  6. Well, if that doesn't beat all. I really wonder what the point of insurance is if they don't pay anything. I hope this gets settled quickly and that they pay for it. Let us know whether you're able to get in today to have the PICC line flushed.
  7. Sounds like a productive appointment. How long til you get the results of that? I can see your apprehension on doing anything with Herbie right now. The second opinion sounds like a good plan. I'm be looking for your updates on this too. I'm thinking it's not coincidence. The extra practices could definately be throwing things...
  8. Hang in there Kassandra. Let us know what the doctor says about the bubbles. Well said Sherry.
  9. I can't wait for that update either.
  10. That is fantastic news!!!! Definately get in for the mineral IV. You've made so much progress this last year......I'm excited for you.
  11. Great news! Hope she continues on the path of working a treatment plan out. I'm sorry about your Dad. Maybe he'll come around once he sees how much better you get with treatment. Oops! I hope the b12 is still ok. My daughter feels the same way he does. Glad you had a peaceful day.
  12. If you aren't planning on further testing then go gluten free for some time (at least 1 month, preferrably 6) and see if you notice any changes for the better. Other things can cause malabsorption but gluten free may be all the further you need to go. If symptoms don't resolve you'll need to dig deeper. For my family it was metals, but soy can also cause...
  13. I believe I've read that testing in children has a lot of false negatives. The true test is in the diet.
  14. Welcome! I would cut out the dairy for at least 6 months to give her time to heal and then you can reintroduce it to see how she does with it. It can cause moodiness and brain fog so that'd be the first thing. My daughter still has behavioral issues (she'll be 8 soon). I'm thinking her are part of metals which my family is dealing with (although we...
  15. I know about the tiring drives. We had a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive up to Bellevue over the summer.....many times. I hope you can stay with Dr. M I don't know about the ice cream. It could be a withdrawal symptom due to cutting down though. I'm sorry about your neck being worse again. Yay on the sleep but boo on the pain. I hope things simmer...
  16. He got home about 9 pm last night. I hope the U/S goes well today and that your gallbladder is ok. I'd get a second and maybe even a third opinion on the thyroid. Great news! I don't remember if you were the one considering going back on gluten (questioning whether it was a real problem) or if that was someone else. If you...
  17. No ideas here.......sorry.
  18. Yes, I understand completely. The samento could be causing you the dip today.
  19. Hey stranger! I'll be looking for an update. Mitch isn't home yet but I expect him within the hour.....I'm hoping anyway. It's a 7 hour drive under good weather conditions. I know the pass was wet but don't know about the highways in Eastern Washington. I don't know if the storm wasted itself out before crossing over the mountains....somehow...
  20. Sounds like this will be a really good thing for him. When does he leave? Is he finishing out the school year and then going? Birdy, If I was still at home and your age my mom and I would be going round and round too. The only thing is, she has the utmost trust in the western medical profession. I'm really wondering if I'm going to be able...
  21. Kassandra, I'm glad you got through ok. Doesn't sound like a fun procedure for sure. Hang in there!
  22. That sounds great! You've really made alot of progress this year. Hey Carla, my daughter wants a new mom but I don't know if I'm up to a challenging 17 year old. I'm having enough trouble with an almost 8 year old. Her idea of me helping her with things she doesn't understand is to give her the answers. She's getting behind (about 1/2 week) because...
  23. Glad that part went well. Hoping the PICC line will be smooth and seamless for you. Can't wait to hear about them. Post them here too. The lyme thread is in the gab/chat section.
  24. That is great news Lisa! I'm glad you got in to see him. Keep us posted as you are able please.
  25. A wheat allergy would be an immediate reaction (IgE). Think peanut allergy. You have to avoid the offending food to keep from having a bad reaction like throat closure, anaphalactic shock etc. Gluten Intolerance is a delayed reaction (IgG). Celiac is on that spectrum. This would be more digestive, neurological etc.
