  1. A bag of sand or cat litter helps too. I unstuck my truck yesterday by making a path of kitty gritty behind the tires.
  2. Oh the weather outside is frightful But the phorum is so delightful And 'though we've miles to go Let it snaux, Let it snough, Let it snoh It doesn't show signs of stopping And I brought some corn soy toast cheese cards for shopping The lights are about to go Let it snowe, Let it snoe, Let it snoa When we finally click goodnight How I'll hate...

  4. Love the sheer joy. Thank heavens there are people like Al around to remind us of the truly important things in life.
  5. Check out the santa cams (little camera pic on the same page)
  6. Yeah!!! It's snowing again!!
  7. How does Rosemary Clooney get out of bed and have her hair be perfect?
  8. 'Mornin' all. Still cold and snowy, with the addition of a layer of ice (melted slightly yesterday). Lookin' for more snow tonight for the fab combo of snow/ice/snow on the roads. I need to brave the roads today, but then camping in until it thaws. I still don't mind. It's such a rare occurrence I don't see any reason to not enjoy it. And...
  9. I missed the apple flavor too. Maybe a bit of orange as well.
  10. I can't believe you don't stay up for mummy-in-law
  11. Did not, but should have. I ended up taking out the bacon and microwaving it (bonus! got rid of lots of grease) then putting it back in. It was good. Needed salt, but I imagine you could solve that problem by using more bacon than I did (I only used 5 slices for 6 potatoes). Yep, pretty much anything can be successfully crocked. The news just...
  12. yummmm. Both the apples AND what you're making us all for brekky. I am impatiently awaiting my crockpot sweet taters, yams, and onions covered with bacon. No idea how it'll taste, but pretty much anything made wif bacon has gotta be good.
  13. Yeah, seriously Bev. Get better so the rest of us can feel miserably happy when whining about our minor aches and pains. And for you to be so cheerful and loving in the face of it--sheesh. Next your gonna tell us that you have an electric kettle.
  14. And tea fixes everything, right?
  15. I am loving the snow!! I'm west of Seattle and we have about a foot. No, I can't leave my house, except on foot, but it's all so pretty, and such a rare occurrence, that I don't mind at all.
  16. They could use all those missing socks to keep warm.
  17. Love the crutch idea. Cold and snowy and the cats are very angry with me for doing this to them. Must go plug in my electric kettle and make some tea.
  18. HHHHAAAAPPPYYYYYY BBIIIIIRRRRTHDDDDAAAAAYYYYY JJJOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDEEEEE !!!!!
  19. Maybe he'll decide to stay inside now. Poor boy is completely sacked out on my bed. At least he was kind enough to curl up on the towels I put down for him.
  20. Put some snow pics on Spacebook. I realize 90% of you will look and them and think "Your excited about THIS??" but hey, this never happens here. I can't even remember the last time we had more than 2 inches of snow.
  21. Still snowing!!! It snowed all night and all day (with the required 'freezing rain' interlude, as it is the Northwest). I went to a party down the street, leaving Lyle outside. When I came back there were frantic kitty prints pacing around all the doors, so I called him. Lyle shows up, well past mad, thoroughly into 'Thank God' and waddles inside...
  22. SNOW SNOW SNOW!! I'm so excited I can't even talk!! SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW!! WOOOHOOOOHOOHOOOHOOO!!!
