  1. There's no prescribed treatment for mono. It's all supportive care. If you've already determined for sure that this is mono, you can only ride it out. If you're only guessing, then yes, follow MommaGoose's suggestion.
  2. Here is what you get when you search pubmed. Some of the articles are free, others you may get access to at a university library. Open Original Shared Link
  3. A few days ago I got a microwave from freecycle. My microwave is from the 80's, has no turntable, is 500 watts (no brownie-in-a-cup for me) and you set the time and temp by turning dials. So I go pick up the microwave, and it's evening and it's dark so I leave it in my truck thinking I'll deal with the switch on the weekend. Last night...
  4. Excellent! Now we can do the whole thing without gloves!
  5. I was about 42 when I stopped eating gluten. Some things cleared up right away. Some things took a couple years. Just stick with and every day you'll get a little bit better.
  6. Knowing that you are still well enough to get p!ssed--------priceless Hugs Judy. Sounds horribly frustrating, but I'm glad you still have (a bit) of a sense of humor about it all.
  7. Airfares on sale Open Original Shared Link psilly attack on Nikki??
  8. Thanks for sharing that. I'm a similar body type and I've been wondering what a good weight goal would be. I doubt I'd ever get to 145, but maybe 160 would work (I'm built like a football player )
  9. How come they never find yeti poop? Must be huge, after all.
  10. And you said "near the warfarin and other poisons"?
  11. THIS is the llama lady! During the setup for the piece on Sesame Street they wanted to make sure the little girl and the llama had a good rapport, so for 1 month they lived together, slept together, had breakfast cereal together (which, because of the underlying Celiac led to gastric discomfort which created this whole love/pain association that took...
  12. Just what did you and Patti do on your US junket?? Patti? Have you checked for any new tattoos?
  13. Uh...Bev? I'm pretty sure Judy has a possessed energetic cat she can send your Dad to fill the void.
  14. Keeping in mind, of course, that a job'll never compare to hanging out here. Bev, so sorry about your Dad's little buddy. I hate that part of life. Canadian tarts turned out great. I used two bricks o' cheese, three eggs, 5 T of sugar, a little vanilla and some pumpkin pie spice. Made them in a tart pan so they were like little dense, moist cookies...
  15. Very cute. He said that living together allows them to understand each other.
  16. For most people that move to a different country, about a year into it they hit the absolutely lowest point. Hate where they live, don't know why they move, seriously consider ditching the whole thing, etc. Once you get through that period, it all gets so much better.
  17. Hours of aerobics -0 Canadian tarts baked - a bunch cats jealous because I'm petting someone else at the moment -3 ghosts that followed me home - I think Susanne Sommers sent her spirit ahead of her. I'm having all these thoughts about how terrible my thighs look and if there were only some way, some device that could help me...
  18. pro'ly more like this Open Original Shared Link. Maybe with less revealed up top. We do family shows. Em, you never told us your dad was a lady! um, could you clarify the biology of that gotta go make Canadian tarts
  19. At least you chose chocolate to end it with. Gotta go sing. Nobody be funny for the next 4 hours.
  20. Wondered that too. The part of the island where I walk doesn't have a lot of buildings anyway, and the house right before the cemetery has an open expanse with a view of the sound. Doesn't get cold till you've passed this house, and before the open grave field. (I could never have come up with something as random as smell fee)
  21. I have a ponderance for you guys. This morning I woke up late (5 am ) and I decided to do my walk in reverse. Now while I'm walking, there are temperature variations. Usually I can attribute these to being really near the water, or on thickly tree-lined streets or something. This morning I'm doing my walk backwards, and it's actually daylight...
