Had Spices On Fish. Not Sure If Safe....

gluten free spices glutenfree seasonings should i worry about spices?
ok. im extremely new to this site and celiacs.... so bare with me please! i had blackened cat fish at work on a lunch break and had a horrible reaction within 15 min of so after eating it. i figured it was fish and it wasnt breaded or anything so it would be safe. the only thing i could think of is that maybe it was contaminated by a piece of bread they put in the to go box or the spices they used like maybe the red pepper or something.... anyone had a reaction to spices or seasonings or similiar to asthma attack ? i really had trouble breathing for a little bit and felt like i had to keep clearing my throat and chest was sort of tight as well as my stomach later got upset like usualy being accidentally glutened.... dr's nurse said spices dont usually matter when i asked her if they were somthing i should watch out for, however that being said she also looked up on her phone to tell me what ingredients were most important in the vitamins i shoudl start supplementing with as well.

It's possible they put a little flour in the seasoning to make it stick. When you asked about the ingredients, what did they say? You may not be able to trust them if they have no clue what is in the food or just brush you off. It's likely they cooked other things, like burger buns, on the same grill before your piece of fish.

As its early in your healing, it's possible spicy things will upset your stomach, too.

I had a similar experience with corn chips. they had bread in the bowl before they put the corn chips in it and only whiped it out with a cloth. I'm thinking it was probably cross contamination

You might try asking for the ingredients. My wonder if it might have soy sauce, or worcesture sauce which has gluten usually, I believe.

I'm curious- what do you mean by "what ingredients were most important in the vitamins i should start supplementing with as well." What did the nurse tell you? I have horrible eczema that started AFTER I stopped eating gluten (once diagnosed with Celiac in October). I'm so scared it won't go away :/
