Celiac.com 10/12/2018 - Snack giant Nestlé has announced the debut of a new line of gluten-free snack bars called "Yes!"

The bars are made with combinations of fruits, vegetables, and nuts, and will contain no artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors or preservatives. Some bars do contain added sugar, but those made with fruits and vegetables do not.

    Celiac.com Sponsor (A12):
The bars come in five flavors: Delicious Beetroot & Apple; Lively Lemon, Quinoa & Chilli; Tempting Sea Salt Dark Choc & Almond; Sumptuous Cranberry & Dark Choc; Delightful Coffee; and Dark Choc & Cherry.

Yes! bars will be available in UK and Ireland. All Yes! bars are suitable for vegetarians, while the fruit and vegetable versions are vegan-friendly.

No word yet on whether Nestlé plans to bring Yes! bars to the U.S. any time soon.

Blondie Fruit Bars (Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free)
I've been trying to will the coming of warm springtime weather by baking foods I'll want on my next picnic.  No matter that my kids and I eat them on a tablecloth spread out on the living room floor ... our hearts are in the great outdoors!  Whether you're picnicing indoors or out, these filling snack bars will be a treat everyone will enjoy.  Using a hodgepodge mix of dried fruits I have had on hand, I have made this recipe several times with differing ingredients.  Feel free to substitute with whatever dried fruits and or nuts you have on hand -- the base recipe remains the same -- although I recommend at least using figs in this recipe, as they are high in fiber and minerals like potassium, calcium and iron, and their crunchy sweetness is unmistakable throughout.
    Be sure to let...

Today I tried a product that many celiacs should appreciate—a delicious Raspberry Attune Gluten-Free Probiotic Chocolate Bar.  The amazing thing about these bars (they make several flavors, including Raspberry, Dark Chocolate and Chocolate Crisp) is that they contain five times the live cultures as yogurt, so they would be an especially important addition to anyone’s diet who has celiac disease.
The gluten-free bar was excellent, and it tasted like a very high-quality chocolate bar with small pieces of raspberry—an excellent combination of flavors.  Since it is made with 68% cacao it is likely packed with natural antioxidants as well as the added probiotics (in the form of Bifidobacterium Lactis HN019, Lactobacillius Acidophilus NCFM and Lactobacillius Casei LC-11).
    I would re...

Libre Naturals Nonuttin Gluten-Free Chewy Granola Bars
Libre Naturals has made a gluten free granola bar that is hard to resist.  Why do I love these bars so much?  Let me count the ways.
For one, these gluten-free chewy granola bars are made in a dedicated gluten-free facility, and contain 55% organic cocoa mini chocolate chips and whole grain certified gluten-free oats.  They use evaporated cane sugar and brown rice syrup to add sweetness that is perfectly sublime, but not overpowering.
The bars are crunchy and satisfying. I found them to be a perfect snack anytime of the day.
