Dermatitis Herpetiformis?

Does this look like DH? I have looked up images online and most seem far more severe than mine.

This is on my right elbow and just started showing up about a week ago. It started small at first and then more. I have the same kind of rash on my left upper arm but much smaller. It is itchy.

I have never had anything like this before - but do tend to get something similar on the sides of my fingers intermittently throughout the year. I also get sores or swelling on my gums.

Thank you for your help.

It's really hard to say b/c so many rashes can look like what you are presenting with & dh can take so many forms but I will say that dh does look like that in some forms of it. That's all confusing right? And it just leaves you more frustrated. I'm sorry but I have to say it like it is. You said it's itchy. How itchy? When does it itch?

And also, since I am a new expert on lichen planus, I would suggest you do some image searching of that as well, because it is often associated with changes of the mucosa of the mouth as well.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
