Switch From Culturelle To Align Based On Bifidobacteria. Thoughts?

Actually, I recall reading this right after DX: "a celiac's immune system is very strong". I think people erroneously believe we are sickly because we have celiac, but the opposite is true. Once our guts are healed, we resist infection better than most. Our immune system runs on "overtime" defending us.

thought I'd come back and update since I posted something about it in another thread...

I've been on the Custom Probiotics less than a month.  I've been taking one in the morning on an empty stomach, and there were a few days I took it right before bed as well.  I stopped taking Citrucel and my body kept itself eliminating on a regular basis  ;)  I think it's important to also note that I was eating a completely whole foods diet, so between that and the probiotics, I dumped the Citrucel, and everything is still working!!

Hi there, Positive Horn Player!

So glad you added an update.  I've been battling the big C lately.  I've been abroad for almost 6 weeks now and I haven't been able to prepare one meal for myself.  I buy things at the grocery store, but can't cook anything.  Can't wait to come home to my own kitchen and I will probably order those recommended probiotics from IH so they're there when I get home, since mine don't seem to be doing the trick as of late.  Need to get that book too!

I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep. This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I  get the shakes.I have to take the crappy stuff and get injected always more than 4 times always. Its infuriating

I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
