I have been a diagnosed celiac for 7 months now and have been clean for 4 months or so, I just outright ate a chocolate muffin that was just a regular muffin that was organic and gluten free (someone put it in the gluten free section by mistake) I am not sure what is going to happen as this is kinda my first real glutened accident. My parents both don't think I have it, what should I look for or watch for for symptoms. At this time is has been 1 he since I are it. I had 3 bites then thought it was too good to be true and it was...

I got glutened yesterday :( and I'm still trying to figure out what it was that got to me.

It's my understanding that everyone reacts differently. For me it's intense stomach cramping and pain along with joint pain. Sometimes I get a bit of a brain fog.

You could have a bunch of symptoms, or none at all depending on how much your stomach has healed. I keep Pepto Bismol on hand since it really helps to relieve the stomach issues.

Good luck! I hope it's not too bad for you.

I'm so sorry you got glutened:(

I did tonight too (except mine was on purpose)

If you remember what your symptoms were before going gluten-free then you should probably just watch out for those.

Take some Pepto or Tums and just retire for the night.  Hopefully it will pass without too much fuss!

I've read posts by people who had gone on the gluten trial, meaning that they had started eating wheat toast and such daily, but had unexpected reactions. I don't remember what happened exactly, but just that they reacted differently from when they'd had a glutenation from cc.

How are you feeling now by the way?

I read tums has gluten in it.

multiple sources too.

I would avoid that.

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.

Some interesting articles regarding the use of Zinc Carnosine to help heal gastric ulcers, gastritis and intestinal permeability. I would consult a medical professional about it's use. https://www.nature.com/articles/ncpgasthep0778 https://www.rupahealth.com/post/clinical-applications-of-zinc-carnosine---evidence-review https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7146259/ https://www.fallbrookmedicalcenter.com/zinc-l-carnosine-benefits-dosage-and-safety/

He is. Which makes everything even more difficult. I’m not a believer in “staying for the kids” but I have nowhere to go and it’s not just me, it’s me plus my babies. We live in a beautiful place, lots of land in the country and me and the kids love the place we’ve called home for their entire lives. But Im seeing that he’ll never change, that my kids deserve a happy healthy Momma, and that staying in this as is will be the early death of me. Then I look at the scars covering my entire body…this disease and the chronic stress I’ve been enduring for years that tell me I’m no longer beautiful and no one will ever look at me with interest again. I try self care, try to give myself grace so I can just start loving myself enough to gain strength but the slightest sparkle in my eye and skip in my step attracts his wrath and it all comes crashing ten fold. Life is just absolutely railing me from every single direction leaving me wanting to wave that white flag bc I don’t feel like there’s much hope no matter what happens.
