I have had diarrhea issues for almost a year along with extreme fatigue and muscle/joint pain. After visiting a gastro I was told I may have celiac disease. I go in on the 31st for my endoscopy, but here are my blood results... Tissue transglutaminase AB, IGA 8 U/ml; Gliadin(deamidated) AB (IGA) 36 H; immunoglobulin A 195

My vitamin B was only 237, and my vitamin D was 36.... And my CRP was slightly elevated. Are these results indicative of Celiacs disease? I did fast for my blood work..... Didn't know I wasn't suppose to. Oops

can you post the reference ranges for your lab?

There are no values for tt iga or gilidian iga.. just says its high. The Immunogl. Is good... between 81-463. Which test is more specific to celiac?

The tTG IgA is slightly more specific for celiac disease, but only by a percent or two. The DGP tests are very good celiac tests, if it was high, then you are most likely a celiac... Welcome to the club. ;)

31+ is high and mine was 36 :( I think the sandwich I just ate after 2 weeks of no gluten has solidified the diagnosis. My tummy sounds like a war zone right now.

      New issue

      I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep.This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I get the shakes...

      I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

      Do Gluten Enzymes actually work?

      If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

      You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance"...
