Oh, My Aching Feet---Are Gone

When I read Reader's Digest's article, "I am Joe's Foot."  II was a youth.  I am guessing it was in the 70's, but if someone knows when let me know.  I remember trying some of their suggestions for dealing with aching feet and caring because my feet often ached.

As I sat holding my daughter's foot tonight, and considered how incredibly  it was made, I suddenly realized my feet don't ache anymore.  My feet often ached over the years.  As a child, there was an empty chair at the table and yours truly would put her feet up on them.  Nobody else could put their feet on the chair but me!  I never could understand that one, but I appreciated it.  A couple of years back a person at the shoe store told me that my feet swell and recede.  She could tell by looking at the wear in my shoes.  I remember the ache being particularly bad in the summer time.

But hey It's summer and my feet don't ache this year!  When I went gluten free about 18 months back, my feet first ached really bad and I had plantar fashieitis  pain in both of them.  Then all went quiet in my feet.  What feet? I asked the nurse  recently when she asked how they were.

Yikes, no, they are working just fine!

My feet used to swell terribly. Even though I keep my sneakers so loose I can barely tie them because the laces are too short from keeping them loose, by the end of the day they were tight and I couldn't wait to get them off. That improved a lot, but lately it has come back. That is why I am giving up dairy for a while. I KNOW I am not getting glutened or corned or soyed, so what else could it be?

My dreadful plantar fasciitis vanished within weeks of going gluten-free, and reappears if I get glutened. Isn't it great when you don't notice things are better, then suddenly realize? I noticed last week that my jaw doesn't click anymore. Great!!!

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
