Nyc Longshot (And Late) - Fairways Catered Turkey (Pre-Seasoned) - Anyone Know If It's gluten-free?

Just found out this is what my family ordered and is cooking today -- I haven't been able to reach anyone at Fairways (not surprising) and can't find anything on their websites.

 

Thought I'd send it out to my cloud friends and see if anyone knows - it's the UWS Fairways, if it matters.

It looks like it's just salt, pepper, rosemary and thyme, but I can't be certain.

For all the people are paranoid about turkeys, there are plenty of vets who have never been able to find a turkey that has gluten in it. It sounds safe, and if the prep has been done safely and it isn't being stuffed I would eat it. For what that's worth.

Thanks - I couldn't get any answer on the prep, so while I trusted the turkey, I didn't know what might have been done to prepare it. Ended up eating Udi's (or was it Rudi's) gluten-free stuffing, some broccoli I made myself and an Artisan Bistro frozen turkey meal!  it was fine.  One thing I've learned through the last 9 months since my dx is it's not really about the food, it's about the company.

 

But next year I'll get some answers a bit more in advance :-)

      results from 13 day gluten challenge - does this mean I can't have celiac?

      good luck! vital wheat gluten made me violently ill. I will touch the stuff ever again.

      I wouldn't consider this lucky. I can NOT tolerate the symptoms. And I googled it and I was not even getting 10 grams of gluten per day and I was extremely ill. They'd have to put me in the hospital. I'm not kidding. I will have my first appt with a GI dr on March 4th I will not eat gluten again - at least not on purpose ...

      My journey is it gluten or fiber?

      What Thiamine Hydrochloride brand do you take? Is it like the other vitamins I have added? What brand Tryptophan and amount do you take. Thanks

      Gluten free Yogurt suggest

      I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free. Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by...

      FDA looking for input on Celiac Gluten sensitivity labeling PLEASE READ and submit your suggestions

      I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).

Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free.  Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by the nature of what they are. They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.
