Gf Non-dairy Dry Milk Powder?

I'm looking through some of Bette Hagman's bread recipes and most of them call for "nonfat dry milk powder (or non-dairy subsitute)".

Does anyone know where I can find a non-dairy substitute that is gluten-free?

Many thanks!

Lauren

I use plain white rice flour in place of non-fat dried milk in the same measurement called for in the recipe. I have NOT noticed any actual difference in the baking process. All the food comes out fine and takes great.

I've used Vance's DariFree powder in place of dry milk in recipes. The only one I've tried it the original flavor. :)

Besides Vance's, I've seen a couple places sell "powdered soy milk", which may be nothing more that slightly refined and cooked soy flour.

I use powdered .. or dry skim milk powder in my coffee every morning. I've checked most brands, and haven't found one that isn't gluten free. I think they are pretty safe.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
