There should be much more awareness and provision in cafes/ restaurants. The reason there isn't is because if offered, the food is inedible. Therefore Coeliacs don't bother going and the restaurants end up binning it! It is socially isolating and depressing. I feel so sorry for younger people trying to maintain a social life. gluten-free self diagnosed journey so far as well as what triggers. Eye crying like peeling onions?
I have been on this gluten-free journey a few months now and I work in a deli so I'm around gluten all day. I noticed sometimes once a day my eyes tear as if I am peeling onions.
