I have seen a lot of controversy regarding TJ's products does anyone use their Rolled Oats the package says Gluten Free wheat Free?

 

Or their Gluten free Chicken Nuggets?

TJ's has certified gluten free oats?

I have bought TJ's gluten-free oats for a long time, but discovered through process of elimination they were causing me some big issues, so I'm currently not using them. I don't know if it's just their oats or any gluten-free oats, but I'm taking a break from oats until I've healed more. So I would say, eat at your own risk.

I'd be interested to find where they're sourcing them from.

 

It's probably not much of an issue for me, though, because I get certified gluten-free oats in bulk for $1.63 per pound anyway.

The package of oats say in big bold letters "Gluten Free" "Wheat Free" they do not say certified.

 

So thats probably my answer I am going to email them.

 

Where so you buy your oats in bulk at such a great price?

It is so hard to figure out what is causing what. 

 

Do you know if TJ's oats are tested or certified?

If they don't say 'certified', assume they are not!  Being certified is a badge of honor for companies, they will say it if they are.

I bought gluten-free oats from Trader Joe's and it definitely made me have a reaction.  I will look for a product that is certified gluten-free.  Thanks!

Somebody needs to contact TJ's about the labelling error. Oats should not be labelled gluten free unless they are certified!

 

Aldi's chips are labelled "naturally gluten free" but contain oats. I won't touch them.

      I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

      Yarrow Pom works really well with the skin issues I found out.I had to stop so my doterra because dealing with medical celiac circus. I had shingles in Feb 2023. Prayers for healing

      More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.

      I hope you are on the mend soon. About 1 in 5 people who contracted chicken pox as a child go on to develop shingles in later life - it is not uncommon. There are 5 known members of the herpes virus family including chicken pox that commonly infect humans, and they all cause lifelong infections. The exact cause of viral reactivation as in the case of shingles or cold sores is not well understood, but stress, sunburn and radiotherapy treatment are known triggers. Some of the herpes viruses are implicated in triggering autoimmune diseases: Epstein-Barr virus is suspected of triggering multiple sclerosis and lupus, and there is a case where it is suspected of triggering coeliac disease. As to whether coeliac disease can increase the likelihood of viral reactivation, there have been several cohort studies including a large one in Sweden suggesting that coeliac disease is associated with a moderate increase in the likelihood of developing shingles in people over the age of 50.
