Hello all I am having my yearly physical this week and I'm going to ask my MD to run a bunch of blood work to tests for ferritin, thyroid hormones including peroxidoase and antibodies, and celiac but what should be run for celiac?

Thanks

Complete Celiac Blood Panel

tTG IgA and tTG IgG

DGP IgA and DGP IgG

EMA IgA

total serum IgA - a control test

AGA IgA and AGA IgG - less reliable older tests

endoscopic biopsy - make sure at least 6 samples are taken

Here is more info from the University of Chicago's celiac website:

Try to get a complete panel. I was only positive on one of the least popular tests. Keep eating gluten until all testing is complete!

Good luck!

Yes, @trents is right, ascorbic acid can be irritating.  Do you take it with food? Do you take other supplements or vitamins? Do you eat processed meats?   Is your diet high in carbohydrates?

Be careful with C supplementation. It's ascorbic "acid". Too much can cause stomach and gut irritation.
