Menstrual Pads for those with DH

Alys

We haven't had a post like this in a number of years.

What brand of menstrual pads do you use?  I switched to CVS cotton pads and they are glorious, but also 50cents a pad.  I can't use my menstrual cup all the time.  Do you have any brands that are cheaper and don't cause DH flares.  Because nothing says fun like being on your period and having your skin break open around your lady bits..

I have been diagnosed with celiac disease.  I have DH, so I really need pads that won't make my immune system eat through my skin.  If I have to I will stick with the CVS cotton ones, I just was hoping for something less costly.

I have never heard of a pad with gluten in it, even if skin contact could give a Celiac reaction.

I use to react possibly because of the plastic, I don't really know why.  I use naturo-care which is made from bamboo fiber.  I don't know what the price per pad is.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Thank you for the links to the articles.  Interesting reading. I'll be telling my brother in law because he has a lot of pain
