What did you stool look like? In terms of color and texture?

I know this is sort of a gross topic but I would really really appreciated any help.

How yellow exactly did your stools look? I keep thinking my stools are yellow (this might be bc im really paranoid and think that my stools gonna be yellow) but my mom thinks that they are just borderline yellow but leaning on brown. It was like a very dark turmeric color. If you mixed turmeric and brown together. She also thinks that it's because of the foods I've been eating which are mainly yellow curries and rice. I'm still on a gluten diet since the doctor said to wait for biopsy results. I'm really really scared. Please help. The poop didn't float but also there was a lot of it so it couldn't really float. I started taking Citrucel on the recommendation of my GI which is why my stool is so large. I don't really have much abdominal pain. Just slight bloating when I wake up.

hersheygirl9,

Here is a quick dr.google search for reference.

It is from the Mayo Clinic

I wouldn't worry too much if it isn't bright red or black.

Generally your stool should look/resemble the color of dirt.  Think Clay colored.

And it sounds like yours does that according to your description.

I think that your stool sinks is a good sign.

See this thread that talks about this topic.

posterboy,

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. My stool seems to alternate however. I went to the restroom again after this occurrence and my stool floated and there was some shiny think over the water in the toilet. It just alternates without correlation and I'm not sure if the shiny also has to do with low stomach acid as I'm on PPI's for gastritis.

GliadinX is such a product and many/some report it really helps. In the interest of disclosure, the company that produces it is one of our sponsors.

Occasionally eating out in restaurants means that there is potential cross contamination in spite of ordering a gluten free dish. What enzyme supplements can the forum recommend that would help with potential cross contamination? Something I could take before I start eating. I used to order Wheat Rescue from Microbiome lab, but it is not available anymore.

Hi  - Anyone have any experience with these? I bought them at Costco thinking they must be gluten-free, but now I see Natural Flavors and Spice in the ingredients. There's no Gluten Free labeling. However the Costco site and two other sites say it's gluten free. Anyone know?

Yes, I doubt you can find a perfectly safe restaurant--perhaps a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, but in general, very few of them exist, and they tend to be in larger cities. Super sensitive celiacs should probably just avoid eating out.
