i have been having health issues for a while so i'm finally giving up gluten to see if i'm gluten sensitive and if that's the issue. it's been 48 hours since i've had gluten and prior to this point i had been constipated for months. in the last two days i've gone 6 or 7 times. is my body getting rid of all the bad stuff like a detox? am i doing something wrong or is my body telling me this is right??

If you aren't constipated anymore - maybe its just clearing out the poop to try to come to a more "normal" amount?

You might want to run, today, to your doctor and get tested for Celiac before its too late.  I think its important to know how serious you need to be about your gluten free diet and to be aware of the other issues that Celiac may have caused.

I would suggest staying on gluten and going and getting tested now. You have to be eating it daily for 12 weeks for the blood test, and 2 weeks for the endoscope.

This clearing your doing is a sign that gluten is effecting your diet somehow, now if celiac disease or NCGS I do not know but you should be tested prior to trying out the gluten-free diet. NOTE there a bunch you will have to learn about diet, cross contamination, etc. This is no "OH a bit is alright" or "Fad Diet" this is a life changing issues that can lead to much improved health and healing if your have the disease. My issues slowly progressed over years then hit like a hammer when I got older with severe issues. I was prior to all this for years having issues of constipation for 4-10 days average and thought it was normal.

No matter the outcome this is a great community to help you out on your gluten issues. But first really go see about the test and talking to your doctor. MAKE SURE you get the FULL CELIAC blood test.

When I consumed gluten sometime my stool would be so hard it was like crayon.  Eliminating at times would be difficult.  Alternating between that and frank diarrhea.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
