Are original or berry ricolas cough drops good to go? I didn't see the bag said anything about gluten-free and there were two ingredients that I was unsure about, the starch syrup and the Carmel flavoring.

I have had three different flavors of Ricola cough drops this week with no problem other than a possible sugar headache from so many of them.  It could just be a sick headache though.

Great so they are safe! Good because I bought a bag and jab been suffering with a sore throat so this will definitely soothe it. Thanks!

I have a question about the starch syrup on the website. I just sucked on a ricola and am scared because I read this what does this mean.

Wheat starch can be gluten-free.  The amount in a cough drop is very very small.

So that means 20ppm or less for the cough drop? So it is safe? Does anyone know of any other cough drops?

ARE RICOLA PRODUCTS GLUTEN-FREE?

Ricola products are below the limits for gluten established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Swiss Celiac Association and are therefore considered gluten free. The limits are a maximum of 20 mg gluten per kilogram (20 parts per million) of finished product. Product that is within this limit may be considered gluten-free by the FDA, and, suitable for celiac patients according to the Swiss Celiac Association. We urge you to share this information with your doctor or contact the Celiac Sprue Association of the USA @1-877-CSA-4CSA (1-877-272-4272).

Did you see this, it's on their page. :)

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
