So PC is not celiac pc?

I'm sure fictitious  "Tina" in the ad will discard her "immature anti celiac ad friends" like used napkins and find new friends that are less grossed out by her autoimmune disease.

Or perhaps fictitious "Tina " will patiently educate the baffon friends in the ad. Tina's choice.

Another company made a bad choice to join the gluten dude list of celiac bashing in the public media

Hey PC want to attempt to get out of dog house ?

contact me for where to send my check For your next marketing idea/ script for your commercial

Your next commercial show two tables one designated gluten-free and one non gluten-free

show 2 different color coded themes one gluten-free and non gluten-free example red for gluten-free and black non gluten-free ( whatever game day team colors- catch my drift) showing gluten-free cake served on red plate and non gluten-free cake on other table on black plate. Yo support celiac awareness and safety.

this marketing tip per AWOL  contact me for my royalty checks

The thing is.  They didn't have to say anything about gluten free food.  They didn't have to put that mean-spirited dig in there at all.  They could have just showed the awesome thing for serving food.  People with food sensitivities would have just substituted gluten-free or peanut free food in their minds.  Just like anyone would have said - I hate cucumbers - so my party tray won't have that on it.

Party City values its customers above all else, and we take your feedback extremely seriously. We recognize that we made an error in judgment by running the recent Big Game commercial, which was insensitive to people with food allergies. We have removed the commercial from our website and all other channels, and sincerely apologize for any offense this may have caused. We’d also like to clarify that Sunny Anderson was not involved in the creation of this commercial in any way, and we apologize for any offense it has caused with her audience and fans. We will also be reviewing our internal vetting process on all advertising content to avoid any future issues. In addition, Party City will be making a donation in support of Celiac Disease research.

Indeed.

My take - their ad agency / internal marketing is looking to create 'edgy' content which they calculated would play well with sports fans. They probably have a lamentable brand values document which they're trying to align their messaging on and this crass 'joke' and the embarassing climb down and pushback from their sponsored celebrity is the result. By rights the head of marketing or whoeever at senior level signed off on this should be feeling very vulnerable today, because anyone who understands marketing* should've quickly spotted that this was liable to blow up in their faces.

*Note that lots of people pretend to, but just look at some of the crappy campaigns that get the green light... :)

Hi all I’ve been celiac for 4 years now, I’ve done pretty well to avoid it thus far. Last night I took the wrong pizza out of the freezer and ate the whole lot!! The non gluten and gluten pizza boxes are both very similar.   2 hours later I was throwing up violently on my hands and knees over the loo.  .horrendous stomach pains,  My hair was wet from sweat every part of my body was wet. What an awful experience, just had a bad headache today  fortunately.    Is their any products/pills anyone takes if they have realised they have just been glutened to make the symptoms a little less worse.  thanks

Yes, do take your B Complex with Benfotiamine or Thiamax.  Thiamine interacts with each of the other B vitamins in the B Complex to make energy and enzymes, so best to take them together earlier in your day.  Taking them too close to bedtime can keep you too energetic to go to sleep.   The Life Extension Benfotiamine with Thiamine is Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride, another form of thiamine the body likes.  The Thiamine HCl just helps the Benfotiamine work better.   Read the label for how many milligrams are in them.  The Mega Benfotiamine is 250 mgs.  Another Benfothiamine has 100 mgs.  You might want to start with the 100 mg.    I like to take Thiamax in the morning with a B Complex at breakfast.  I take the Benfotiamine with another meal.  You can take your multivitamin with Benfotiamine at lunch.   Add a magnesium supplement, too.  Thiamine needs magnesium to make some important enzymes.  Life Extension makes Neuro-Mag, Magnesium Threonate, which is really beneficial.  (Don't take Magnesium Oxide.  It's not absorbed well, instead it pulls water into the digestive tract and is used to relieve constipation.)  I'm not a big fan of multivitamins because they don't always dissolve well in our intestines, and give people a false sense of security.  (There's videos on how to test how well your multivitamin dissolves.).  Multivitamins don't prevent deficiencies and aren't strong enough to correct deficiencies.   I'm happy you are trying Thiamax and Benfotiamine!  Keep us posted on your progress!  I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

I looked further into Thiamax Vitamin B1 by objective nutrients and read all the great reviews. I think I will give this a try. I noticed only possible side affect is possibly the first week so body adjusts. Life Extensions carries Benfotiamine with Thiamine and the mega one you mentioned. Not sure if both in one is better or seperate. some reviews state a laxative affect as side affect. SHould I take with my super B complex or just these 2 and multivitamin? I will do further research but I appreciate the wonderful explanation you provided on Thiamine.

There are other Celiac genes. HLA DQ 2 and HLA DQ 8 show up in people from Northern European descent.   People of Mediterranean descent have HLA DQ 7.  People of Asian descent have HLA DQ 9.   There's other Indigenous populations that have other HLA genes that code for Celiac disease.   Are you still having symptoms?   What do you include in your diet?  Are you vegetarian? Are you taking any prescription medication?  Omeprazole?  Metformin?   Do you have anemia?  Thyroid problems? Are you taking any vitamins or herbal supplements?
