My daughter had bad reactions to both Extra and Eclipse chewing gum.  Are there hidden sources is these?  Anyone else have trouble?  She does ok with Glee gum.

Gluten doesn’t “hide”.  No one is trying to push gluten on unsuspecting people!  ?

What is the difference in the ingredients of the gums?  Some of the artificial sweeteners do not agree with my stomach but that does not mean it contains gluten.

I’m addicted to chewing gum, lol. I’ve had multiple brands without issue. I was also wondering if it was the artificial sweeteners that are bugging her. None of the ingredients indicate gluten. ?

I used to react to Aspartame and Asuflame, I would flip out into Mr.Hyde and start yelling, and punching walls....I have not touched them in over 5 years. Some react to sugar alcohols, depending on your diet, and the gut bacteria they can cause gas, bloating. I personally have no issues with sugar alcohols but get issues with real sugars.

I use Xclear brand gum called Spry myself.

Yes Xylitol is lethal to dogs....safe for humans, I use it often, large doses can act as a laxative.
But consider you can also kill a dog with chocolate, avocados, grape seeds, etc.... many things that humans eat are poisonous to other animals and vise versa.

I have a very timid tummy after 13 years of strict gluten free.  If I try to eat like my pals, I burn.

I particularly try to get lots of red meat, mostly beef.  I'm slightly anemic, which isn't uncommon in celiacs.  Red meat is healthy for us and the environment.

I had lyme disease for about 14 years and was also diagnosed with celiac disease about midway through.  I had bad leaky gut food and chemical sensitivity like crazy dental issues I had to go on a really strict diet for 4 years to heal my gut and see a lyme Dr to heal the lyme disease  Both sides of my family are celiac
