I called the Hormel Company today to find out about one of their products. I found out that if you go to

www.hormel.com then go down to the bottom of the page on the left hand side to FAQ you can find a long list of everything they make that is gluten free. There is alot that they have. Thought this might be of help to some in here.

The folks at Hormel are a good people.

WhenI was first diagnosed, that website helped me out so much..

I still love their Cure 81 Ham -- we have it for every Holiday!!! (Can't wait for Easter)..

Dinty Moore Beef Stew got me through college :)

We just had a Cure 81 ham on Sunday! It was yummy and I made German potato salad to go with it :)

Jersey,

when you make the potato salad, how long di you cook the taters? Do you have a good recipe?

Thanks :)

Hi Bronco--I really just tweaked my tried and true recipe--Scrub and boil in salted water about 3 lbs. of potatoes until there is no resistance when you stick a knife in. Drain and let cool a bit while you make the dressing. For the dressing (sauce), I brown 1/2 lb. of bacon (I use Oscar Mayer) till crisp. Drain bacon. Reserve about 4 tbsp. fat in the pan. Discard the rest of the fat. Over med. heat, stir into drippings, 2 tbsp. potato starch and 2 tbsp. sugar. After stiring to make a rouix, add about 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar. (Use a whisk to avoid lumps). Stir in 2 cups water and keep stiring over med. heat until thickened and bubbly. Add salt, pepper and celery seed to taste. Peel and slice potatoes. Pour sauce over the potatoes, mix carefully and top with the bacon that you have crumbled. You can do all this the day before and heat it up in the oven at 350 for 30-45 min.--until heated thru.

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
