Note this list will contain plain protein powders, no emulsifiers, gums, or blends (exceptions to flavors and probiotics), it will also only contain Paleo based proteins I can and have tried.

Pumpkin Protein
Easy to digest, high in vitamins minerals, very mild grit texture. Free of all major Allergens and Hypoallergenic, Known to be rich in minerals Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, and Phosphorus. As well as having vitamin K and known to be a natural sleep aid.
Ingredients, Organic pumpkin seed powder.
Purchase, Vitacost has the best pricing on it via Jarrow but keep a eye out on The Oil Seed Company for sales on 5lb bags.

Growing Naturals Pea Protein, Original
Best texture, of pea protein and high iron content, and vegan. Very clean and goes through substantial testing. NOTE pea protein is a legume and can cause gas and bloating in some.
Ingredients, PEA PROTEIN. Contains split peas which are a lentil legume
Purchase, Amazon has it but look up coupons and buy direct if you can, Oddly Amazon is cheaper to buy 1lb tubs

https://www.amazon.com/Growing-Naturals-Protein-Powder-Original/dp/B007TWNH02/
Naked Pea Protein
Cheaper alternative to the above, more processed with less iron and more neutral flavor, More suitable for baking.
Ingredients, Yellow Pea Protein
Purchase, on Amazon in Bulk 5lb container
https://www.amazon.com/Protein-Powder-North-American-Farms/dp/B00NBIUGA2/

Sunflower Protein, Sprout Living
This is another Hypoallergenic protein, it thickens more then others but is super smooth, can be a bit higher in lectins then other plant based proteins. Due to nature of the flavor (Like Sunbutter peanut butter alternative) it is great in smoothies and baked goods. They are also good sources of potassium.
Ingredients, Organic Sunflower Protein.
Purchase,Find on Vitacost when they post a sale or on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Protein-SFPro-Sunflower-Servings-Original/dp/B07RXLHPDH/
https://www.vitacost.com/sprout-living-simple-sunflower-seed-protein
Sunflower Protein SFPRO
Do note since I started using them they changed to a manufactured in a shared facility warning but maintain the gluten-free on the front. I have no issues and am super sensitive. Now, this one is more processed, it does not thicken like the others and contains less potassium. On the plus side this means it mixes much better and makes a super smooth shake. It also has some added ingredients and minimal sugar. I buy this for the pricing honestly.
Ingredients,Sunflower Protein, Organic Coconut Sugar, MCT oil Powder, Natural Flavor, Organic Monk Fruit Extract
Purchase,Find on Amazon

Sacha Inchi Protein MRM
This is a interesting protein protein, decently smooth with a tiny bit of grit, the flavor is almost akin to Do-Si-Do cookie so using it smoothies and sweetened is amazing. It has a good amino acid complex, and goes great in baked goods also. I will note I have some people it can cause digestion issues and bloating for.
Ingredients, Organic Sacha Inchi Seed Protein
Purchase, Cheapest source is Vitacost but only a bit over 1/2lb bags.
https://www.vitacost.com/mrm-superfoods-raw-organic-sacha-inchi-powder-8-5-oz
Sacha Inchi Protein Julian Bakery
This is less refined version and a bit different flavor then the cookies of the above. The Julian Bakery version is also richer in Potassium, Magnesium, and Calcium with a good amount of Iron
Ingredients, Organic Sacha Inchi Protein (seed protein)
Purchase, directly from Julian Bakery do watch for sales on their FB for 10-15% off

Almond Protein Barney Butter
First, think of this as the kin of Powdered Peanut Butter but from almonds. I get the Barney Butter version on subscribe and save via Amazon and get it quite cheap. The texture quite smooth, to the point you can dissolve it in coffee for a powdered creamer or make instant almond milk. As this is not intended as a protein powder but as a powdered almond butter it does still have some carbs, sugars, and a moderate amount of protein. I love to add it to nut based porridge, and shakes.
Ingredients, Blanched Almonds
Purchase, Amazon is where I get it now but I used to get it at my local Walmart
https://www.amazon.com/Barney-Butter-Powdered-Almond-Ounce/dp/B07DBX36KW/

Hemp Protein Just Hemp Foods
DISCLAIMER due to the nature of farmed hemp (it is grown on rotation with and often harvested with the same equipment as wheat) there is a HIGH chance to get a gluten contaminated Batch. Just Hemp foods is tested often and the safest your going to find. I have gotten positive gluten test on many other brands, and a one batch of Just Hemp Foods in the past few years. Consume at your own risk.
This protein is quite gritty and best used in baked goods like muffins, or porridge.  But contains a good amount of fiber and decent protein complex, It can help some with anxiety and still has trace amounts of CBD.
Ingredients, Canadian Hemp Protein Powder
Purchase, You can find this in the baking section of most Walmarts or order online
https://www.amazon.com/Just-Hemp-Foods-Protein-Verified/dp/B017JB6M86?

Egg White Protein Julian Bakery
Egg Whites protein completely dissolves in your shakes with no grit at all, it contains a complete amino acid profile and is great for maintaining muscles. It does however lack any other nutrients aside from protein so the purest of proteins I have found. Julian Bakery is by far the least expensive on the market and in 2lb pouches. I have also found it to be really easy to digest and since it is lacking carbs/fiber it has the last chances of causing bloat, and is made by freeze drying the egg whites
Ingredients, Egg White Powder, Sunflower Lecithin
Purchase, while you can find this on Amazon I suggest buying directly from Julian Bakery when they offer 10-15%off sales and getting the 2 packs.

Beef Protein Julian Bakery
With Beef you want to make sure it is from Grass Fed cows without Antibiotic or Hormone injections, and not from dairy farm drop outs. Julian Bakery offers this and test their protein powder. I will admit it has some probiotics and flavors added to it but it has not bothered my sensitive stomach and the price is one of the best I have found for 2lb containers. Texture is amazingly smooth, and if you mix a scoop with 1-1 1/2 cup of water and let sit in the fridge it forms a pudding that is marvalious. I have only had the vanilla so this info covers that.
Ingredients, Hydro Beef (grass fed beef protein*), MCT Oil (powdered), L-Glutamine, ProDURA (Bacillius coagulans-probiotic) 15 billion CRI/g, Organic Stevia Leaf Extract, Vanilla Nut Extract *Tested free of hormones and antibiotics
Purchase, I suggest buying straight from Julian Bakery when on 10-15% sale (watch their FB) or Vitacost when they offer it at 20% sometimes.

It could be a fructan intolerance? How do you do with dates?  https://www.dietvsdisease.org/sorry-your-gluten-sensitivity-is-actually-a-fructan-intolerance/

Thank’s for addressing the issue of mushrooms.  I was under the impression that only wild mushrooms were gluten-free.  Have been avoiding cultivated mushrooms for years. Also, the issue of smoked food was informative.  In France last year, where there is hardly any prepared take-out food that is gluten-free, I tried smoked chicken.  Major mistake!

my IGG is 815 IGA 203  but tTG-Iga is   <0.4!!!!!!!!!!!!!   oh my god- 13 days of agony and the test is negative?  I don't even know what to do next. There zero doubt in my mind that I have an issue with wheat and probably more so with gluten as symptoms are dramatically worse the more gluten a product has   I am going to write up the history of my issues for the past few years and start a food/symptom diary to bring with me to the GI doctor in March.   I googled like crazy to try to find out what other things might cause these symptoms and the only thing that truly fits besides celiac is NCGS   but I guess there are some other things I maybe should be tested for ...? like SIBO?   I will continue to eliminate any foods that cause me distress (as I have been doing for the past couple of years) and try to keep a record. Can anyone recommend an app or some form or something that would simplify this? I have a very full and busy life and taking the time to write out each symptom name in full would be tedious and time consuming- some sort of page with columns to check off would be ideal. I am not at all tech savvy so that's not something I can make myself ... I'm hoping there's some thing out there that I can just download and print out   do I give up on testing for celiac with such a low number? I am 70 yrs old I have been almost completely off gluten for the most part for about 2 yrs. I had a meal of vital wheat gluten vegan roast,  rolls and stuffing made from home baked bread and an apple pie- and had the worst pain and gas and bloating and odd rumblings in my gut etc - almost went to the ER it was so bad. I was thinking, since I'm spilling a lot of calcium in my urine, that perhaps this was a kidney stone (never had one before but there's always that first time, right?)    Saw my endo on Jan 20th and after hearing the story about the symptoms from eating that holiday meal, she suggested doing a gluten challenge. She said 2 weeks was fine- she said stopping it in the middle if symptoms got bad was fine- In the meantime I'd read that 2 weeks was not enough- called and argued with the nurse about this, but ultimately decided to stop the gluten on the 13th day and get the test done because I was in too much pain and almost suicidal and knew I could not continue.   so.............. that's where I am now I have had no bread since Sunday. I did have some rolled oats today and had some gas and bloating afterwards I did have some wheat germ in a smoothie on Tuesday and had a stomach ache later that night.   but overall I feel so much better! all the joint pain is gone! the nausea is gone. The stomach pain and gas and bloating are going away. Still a bit gassy but no more of that horrible odor. wow, that would clear a room if I was out in public!  I see a GI nurse March 4th  I hope she'll be able to help sort this out! can you think of what my next steps might be?

What you’re describing is actually very common, and unfortunately the timing of the biopsy likely explains the confusion. Yes, it is absolutely possible for the small intestine to heal enough in three months on a strict gluten-free diet to produce a normal or near-normal biopsy, especially when damage was mild to begin with. In contrast, celiac antibodies can stay elevated for many months or even years after gluten removal, so persistently high antibody levels alongside the celiac genes and clear nutrient deficiencies strongly point to celiac disease, even if you don’t feel symptoms. Many people with celiac are asymptomatic but still develop iron and vitamin deficiencies and silent intestinal damage. The lack of immediate symptoms makes it harder emotionally, but it doesn’t mean gluten isn’t harming you. Most specialists would consider this a case of celiac disease with a false-negative biopsy due to early healing rather than “something else,” and staying consistently gluten-free is what protects you long-term—even when your body doesn’t protest right away.
