Anyone have any tips on dealing with gastritis. Sometimes it random flares up and I can't even enjoy a drink bc I know it will flare up. I consume a lot of ginger already

Bone broth daily. Kettle and Fire has several good flavors.  You can season with salt, pepper, turmeric, etc. This helps to heal your GI. Keep a food diary of what you eat and how you feel. NSAIDS are treacherous, so eliminate if possible. Feel better!

Do you know the source of your Gastritis?  Is it related to active celiac disease, H. pylori?  

I have Autoimmune Gastritis (biopsy confirmed) despite a healed small intestine.  Avoiding gluten is critical for me as it tends to trigger my autoimmune gastritis and Hashimoto’s (besides celiac disease).  When my Gastritis flares, I avoid other foods that bother my stomach (known intolerances).    I take no medications as I have many allergic reactions to medications (like NSAIDS and even acetaminophen). I sleep on an elevated wedge pillow.  I do not eat after dinner and hours before bedtime.  Intermittent fasting (12 to 16hours) has been helpful in giving my GI track a break.  No alcohol.  Enjoy a drink?  Even water can burn!   No coffee on an empty stomach when Gastritis is flaring.  

My Gastritis ebbs and flows.  Exercise and reducing stress is helpful also.  

If you are still new to the gluten free diet, you probably need more time to heal.  The learning curve to the gluten-free diet is steep.  Most celiac here report taking a year or more to heal.  Be patient.

      Check out this celiac story  I was diagnosed early 2000s with the blood test  since then I have for the most part maintained a gluten-free diet  Recently (August 2025) I drove from Southern Illinois to Lake Erie Ohio On the drive back I was extremely hungry and I had a coupon at a hamburger chain and I stopped and forgot to request gluten-free bun etc and quickly consumed two hamburgers. I promptly ate both of them and had absolutely no problem since then I've been eating plenty of gluten  Is my celiac gone?  Insert: No, celiac disease cannot just end because there is no cure for it; however, a strict, lifelong gluten-free diet allows the small intestine to heal and symptoms to go away. To manage the condition effectively, you must strictly avoid all sources of gluten, including wheat, barley, and rye, which are common in the American diet. Sticking to the diet can lead to significant symptom improvement and intestinal healing, but it requires ongoing commitment and monitoring with a healthcare professional  Regarding medical test I had My stools analyzed Giardia Ag Cryptosporidium Ag and they came back negative  I had the lactulose test and it came back high so I'm on two weeks of heavy antibiotics That still has not stopped me from eating gluten. Here's what I think is going on and I hope to have your opinion regarding it  Since I've been gluten-free for so long my intestinal tract has repaired itself consequently anything I eat with gluten now just bounces right off with no damage to my gut  however  when I asked AI what was going on the reply was celiac has not gone away and  if I continue to eat gluten I'm going to have problems   I look forward to your sage advice as to what the heck is going on with me Thank you for reading Mike 09112025

      I agree, and generally it means that it isn't working in a high enough percentage of participants to continue pursuing it.

      Thank you so much for your replies. Luckily the rash went away when I completely swore off gluten. It took several months but I have not had a flare in months. So a biopsy is no longer possible. The itch was terrible and apart from bleaching my skin the steroid lotions and potions did nothing. The Gliadin is for accidents and shall be a part of my travel kit from now on. This past exposure has made a me a little leery about eating anything that was not cooked in my kitchen or a dedicated gluten-free restaurant. As much as I used to love baked goods, I am cured and have become quite the gluten free baker to the point that friends and family forget that my cakes/cookies/and bread are not "real". I guess I will have to wait for the new blood test to come out to get confirmation but I have a suspicion that the rash was dermatitis herpetiformis.

      Hello, I just wanted to share with the frustration of skin issues and seeing dermatologist and medications not working for years, I did my own healing experiment. As of last week I have been taking a drop internally under the tongue of Vetiver and putting on topically on sores Yellow/Pom.I am seeing a extreme difference at a rapid time.Im also noticing my nails a little harder. Ive always been into natural properties because I feel its safer for the body.I know short time, but really seeing a difference.
