Bought these cracker this weekend. Loved them. Then got sick as a freakin dog.

What's the deal? Anybody know the story - is there a cross contamination issue here?

I'm in love with them, and I haven't had a reaction. I think I'm on my third box.

I don't know of any of their products that do contain gluten, and I think they have their own plant. They also are big supporters of the celiac foundation.

Is there anything else you could have reacted to?

There was another thread about this not too long ago. Maybe you can do a search. I think some others (including myself) had gotten sick from them.

They are manufactured in shared facilities. You may have encountered cross contamination.

hmmm........i'm on my second box and haven't had a problem with them.

I also like Edward and Sons Onion and Garlic nut thins, you might try those.....

Jeez, I was really bummed when I thought I couldn't eat them anymore because they were so good! But now I'm really stumped!

I also had Blue Diamond Chocolate Almond milk for the first time. That's supposed to be gluten free too. Anyone have a reaction to that?

I think those were the only 2 new foods I tried this weekend...

Im sorry! I have no problems with them but I know others have.

good luck! vital wheat gluten made me violently ill. I will touch the stuff ever again.

I wouldn't consider this lucky. I can NOT tolerate the symptoms. And I googled it and I was not even getting 10 grams of gluten per day and I was extremely ill. They'd have to put me in the hospital. I'm not kidding.   I will have my first appt with a GI dr on March 4th   I will not eat gluten again - at least not on purpose   they are going to have to come up with a test that doesn't require it.

What Thiamine Hydrochloride brand do you take? Is it like the other vitamins I have added? What brand Tryptophan and amount do you take. Thanks

I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free.  Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by the nature of what they are. They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.

I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).
