The Natrel Premium Eggnog, by Agropur, may be rich and creamy (and delicious for me) but it has been setting off my wife's celiac response.

I wanted to share this because the product is labeled as "Gluten-Free".

Upon further research, their website reads:

"Although our facilities are not certified as gluten free, the majority of our products do not contain any ingredients derived from gluten. Products that do contain gluten are labelled accordingly."

Gluten in the facilities. Just wanted to warn you guys - stay gluten-free, for real!

It seems unlikely that it would have any gluten in it. Is there any possibility she could be sensitive to dairy, or one of the other ingredients in it?

Thank you for your reply - that's certainly possible! We have used other Natrel products (plain things like butter) without issue, so this was unexpected. Should I delete the original post? It's hard to be sure with these things :(

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
